> 3 dayI purchased this and a couple other M&D knob puzzles because after receiving one as a gift, my son was hooked. Initially they seemed great: Made of wood, large pieces with large knobs to hold on to, seemed fairly heavy-weight (and durable). Over time, though, they just havent continued to impress me. Yes, the puzzles are thick and the pieces seem sturdy-- but if my son got overly enthusiastic and banged a puzzle piece down (hitting the base with an edge), a dent would form. If he chewed on the pieces, the paper the image is printed on would start to peel/degrade. And every time he removed a puzzle piece, the friction would cause some of the edges of the puzzle to shed, leaving a sawdusty residue. Why? Because this puzzle is NOT solid wood. The parts that look solid on the surface are a paper veneer, the backing is MDF, and the layers the puzzle pieces are made of also seem to be some sort of MDF or wood composite. So yes, these are fairly inexpensive, widely available, and pleasing for young kids. But I dont think theyre worth it in the long run. Ive had much better experiences with Hapes peg puzzles, and I would recommend them highly.

Greater than one weekCute, vibrant, easy to use puzzle. It’s been pretty durable so far. My son has thrown pieces and everything is still intact!

> 3 daySolid, well-built puzzle. I really appreciate the quality of the wood and the quality of the design. You can tell its well made. My 17 month old loves this puzzle. She particularly likes throwing the puzzle pieces on the ground, but thanks to how well made the puzzle is, I dont have to worry about the pieces breaking or bending. I predict that this puzzle will still be in excellent shape when we hand it down to baby number two.

Greater than one weekMy 11 month old has been playing with this for a couple of months now. The handles are very durable and east to pick up. She uses them to make music. The wood/stickers are coming off when she gets them wet. So that could be a little better. Other than that I recommend.

> 3 dayI like this puzzle, and my 1 year old enjoys playing with it, but the turtle’s face is already coming off after my daughter put it in her mouth. We’ve only had it for a day. Doesn’t seem like it will last very long.
