08-06-2025My old faithful hand soap has always been Ivory and Ivory liquid was my first choice. Since you can no longer get that product. This Method Gel refill fits the bill for me. I wear contacts and wash my hands a lot. This product is smooth and not too much scent so it doesnt interfere with my contacts.

> 3 dayI like method products. The prices are reasonable. This soap in particular has a nice scent that is not too strong. I have to wash my hands frequently throughout the day and this soap is not harsh on my skin like many others.

> 3 dayI love the scent but I should make it clear that you shouldnt buy the foaming version of this soap (its more expensive for less refills), just get this version and slowly mix it with water until its 1:3 soap to water. Boom, foaming soap!

> 3 dayMethod is a San Francisco-based company specializing in environmentally friendly cleaning products, both for the home and for personal use. Theres no animal testing, and, with the exception of their tallow-containg dryer sheets, no animal products are used. Pink grapefruit hand soap is an effective and gentle product that cleans well with no sudsing action. It has a very noticeable grapefruit smell, it will seem fresh and energizing to some, but will (naturally) repulse those who dont like the scent of grapefruit. While there are no articifial scents, and the grapefruit scent is not harsh or overpowering, it is definitely not fragrance-free. The soap contains naturally-derived, biodegradable ingredients and contain vitamin E and aloe. However, their website (methodhome.com) informs us also that for intellectual property reasons we do not give out the specific names of the chemicals we use. For various reasons, this is not an antibacterial soap (for example, method believe that antibacterial soap is not necessary given 20 seconds of washing with an non-antibacterial soap, that overuse of such ingredients might lead to increased bacteria resistance, and that these agents biodegrade more slowly than others--see website for more information). Bottom line: If grapefruit is OK with you, this is an excellent product that gets the job done with little or no environmental impact.

> 3 dayThis soap was a bit thinner than I expected but it smells GREAT - very natural and not too heavy. It lasts quite a while, and doesnt irritate my sensitive skin like most hand soaps do. It also isnt drying like most hand soaps are with me. Im so happy to be able to buy scented soaps again! The type of package doesnt take up much space under the sink and is easy to use to refill without making a mess. The price was great too! I actually cant think of anything I dont like about it. It also works in any normal hand soap dispenser - not just method ones ;)

> 3 dayLove the packaging, but the scent is so overpowering and not pleasing (at least to my nose). I may try a different scent in the future (purchased Sweet Water from Amazon), but I will definitively give a sniff in the store beforehand next time. Worked fine in SoftSoap dispenser. Probably slightly more expensive than other brands, but was available when others were not during COVID shortages.

> 3 dayI use it in my automatic dispenser. With my dispenser I had to dilute it with water about 50:50 to avoid clogging the thin tubes. Even diluted, the soap lathers and works well.

> 3 dayIts okay, its not terrific and definitely not as smooth as I expected. Wish it was less watery and more cohesive.
