> 24 hourThus far so good. I have not put more than 30 amps on it ... yet. I have noticed no noise. Something I do not like - there is no dedicated ground connection. I find this awkward that I need to dissemble a premium power supply to install a stupid ground lug. In addition, I purchased a combination digital voltmeter USB hub to help me feel better about myself, surely it has nothing to do with function. This would be my only suggestion for the next model is to include these three items. The fan is not noisy and there is no electrical hum, I have seen the same unit cheaper elsewhere and I wish I had shopped around. Since it was not Prime eligible from GigaParts it took quite a while for it to arrive. I have recommended device this to my friends.

> 24 hourFor some reason my unit failed after 1 year of use. It was just supplying power for my receiver and not under a heavy load when it quit. Overheat protection was the fault and it was $55 to get repaired. Fan was always noisy. Be sure to keep your receipt for the warranty work.

> 24 hourI got this to power an external 600 watt amplifier and so far it has done a good job. it is responsive and has a voltage adjustment for the output. It has a number of output connection types (powrpole, binding posts for each level of output. Very nicely done.,

> 24 hourI purchased this device a few months back in an effort to remove some much older power supplies and to reduce the footprint of my hobby. The older power supplies were starting to become unreliable with their ability to provide a steady current. Unfortunately, this device - though it lessened the footprint - is not providing a steady current. Each time I turn it on, my meter shows a different voltage - sometimes at 12.6 volts, sometimes 13.0 volts and sometimes 13.6 volts. Also, Im experiencing a humming sound when transmitting from my radio. There are a couple of things Im going to try, but this doesnt make me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. After Im done completing some more testing Ill provide another update. For now, I think that I will begin to look at other brands to replace this one - if necessary. Pros: It can provide several different connections that will allow for several different devices to be recharged at the same time (if using banana plugs, basic wires, etc). The voltage is adjustable (see Cons for more details). It is much lighter than anything I originally had. Cons: Powering more than one item at a time will have negative effects (see my preface for more details). Although the voltage is adjustable, it doesnt seem to really adjust it unless you turn the adjuster all the way to either side. The power button is on the back of the device (huh..?) Why would anyone think thats a good place to put a power button? Overall: Its not a bad device, but it isnt what I was expecting from an MFJ product. They are usually very good with their products, but this one is not on-par with their earlier devices/models, as I have an earlier model at 15 amps.
