MFJ Enterprises Original MFJ-929 1.8-30 MHz Compact 200 Watt IntelliTuner.

This is my first external auto tuner so I do not have anything to compare it to. So far, Im really happy with it. Its capable of more than I thought. It does seem to tune better than the built in tuner in my Yaesu 991 & 450d. I paired it with a quad 5 export radio and it does great with it. I believe it will even tune a clothes line. We will see how it holds up.... Great tuner.... Try it.......

Tuner works well, Amazon seller sold me a used unit. Paint marks were on the wire and face of the unit and there was no manual in the box.

As you can see in the picture the MFJ-929 is an integral part of my amateur radio station. Yes, the transceiver does have its own antenna tuner but the MFJ tuner covers more bases than the built-in one does.

Works perfectly and was easy to install. Using it with ICOM-7300 and the appropriate ICOM cable. Matter of just plugging it in and getting out of the way! Tunes automatically as needed when the PTT is pressed. Highly recommend it!
