> 3 dayAfter watching a Youtube video twice about installation I climbed up with my tool bag and went to work. Everything went exactly as in the video except when running the unit the fan only came on. After climbing back up to check the wiring I discovered that the white wire I had plugged in had come loose. The video warned (in my case twice) that it had to connect in the metal sleeve and not between the back of the sleeve and the plastic cover. I connected it back carefully and correctly and it worked flawlessly. The unit quickly learned the five start sequences I put it though. The bluetooth connected without fail every time. RESULT: My solar system (1200 watts and and small battery wall) had no problem starting the AC. After I get my 2200 watt inverter working I will test it on that and post an update.

> 3 dayVery easy to install I watched a video a couple times and went to work didn’t time it, but not very long I tried it with a 1600 watt genny but not big enough so I hooked up my 3000 watt genny and it worked priced a little high but if you want ac while dry camping it’s worth it. I did call tech support before I ordered about my ac unit and they got back to me within an hour. He said if I have any install problems to call and they would walk me through it. Just YouTube it. That’s all you need

> 3 dayI purchased the micro-air easy start directly from Micro-air and installed it two weeks ago. Peak start current went down from 70+Amps to 18Amps for my heat pump. The major drawback was that we had some rain (not torrential) for a day or so this past week. Yesterday I happened to notice that there was water inside of it. I opened it up, dried it, and then sealed the cover with clear silicone. (I now know why some people put these in an additional enclosure.) One thing that I wish this unit had was stand-by power: its a bit ridiculous that the heat pump (or A/C) has to be running to comminicate with it. I think we could deal with a constant few tens of milli-amps parasitic draw without breaking the bank.)

Greater than one weekAmazingly easy install for my Dometic AC! Made a simple mistake because I walked away and came back later. Sent a picture of the wiring and they told me my blunder without making me feel bad. Got it fixed quickly and now Im off to boondocking! With the included 3M sticky pad I didnt have to drill any holes. The wire connectors were SOOO easy to use too.

> 3 dayAug 26 2022 Product took almost a month to deliver. Installing it was realitive simple but I do have a background in electronics. These are listed for rv air-conditioning but they will work on window unit thats being ran from a solar rig, generator or pedistal. This product took my 15kbtu 115vac window unit ac locked rotar amps from 51 amps down to 14amps. My power inverter now can starts the ac without straining. So far the ac have been running for 2 hours and the easy start isnt even warm to the touch. For those wanting to install in a window unit be careful on the wiring. For my unit it wasnt a color coded match. You will also need a drill with a spade bit to drill a hole in the shell of the unit to run the wires through. There wasnt any room In the my ac to internally mount the soft starter. Cons, it took almost a month from order to deliver to get the device. Cons. I actually ordered the micro air soft start but I recieved a spartan easy start. Pros. It does work neither my inverter or generator strains anymore when the ac compressor kicks on. 51 start up amps down to 14 amps. I will add to the post if things thang but so far I am happy with it.

> 3 dayI was skeptical it was going to work. I have a Ryobi 2200W and a Coleman 3000W generator. Neither would run my AC with heat pump. They would overload as soon as the compressor tried to start on the cold or heat side. I turned everything else off and it still wouldnt start with either generator. Super frustrating because I really didnt want to have to carry a big noisy generator. I have a Houghton AC/heat unit from rec-pro. Rec-pro was not helpful when I called them to see if the easy start would work on their unit. They just kept repeating our units have not been tested with easy start. I submitted a question through amazon and Hutch Mountain answered within 24 hours. They said it should work with my unit. I took a chance and ordered it. I installed the easy start this morning and ran it through the 5 cycle learning process and crossed my fingers. I plugged it into the generator and it worked perfectly. The Ryobi struggles a little on eco mode but still works. It took me about an hour to install because I was being extra careful to route wires and heat shrink connections. Amazing difference and worth the money.

> 3 dayProduct was super easy to install on our home AC. I spent more time routing and zip tying cables to make it look clean. Dropped in rush amps from 43 down to 19!!

> 3 dayThe Hutch Mountain Install Kit and the install video from their website made this a very easy installation. I installed this on an Airstream Bambi 2022. The hardest part was getting the Microair unit mounted inside the electronics box. The bracket around the remaining capacitor was tricky to bend and screw into the metal housing. The Install kit that comes with this had everything i needed for a painless installation. Not including watching the video beforehand, the total install time for me was about 1 hour. I highly recommend this product.
