> 3 dayBest dovetail bit out there for making the match fit stuff. This special bit has an upper rounded edge that truly cuts down your time on sanding afterwards! If your using it for matchfit hardware then buy this bit. Its worth it!

> 3 dayDoes a much better job cutting the grove for the 45 degree clamps I have.

> 3 dayUsed to make a tapering jig along with the microjig dovetail clamps. Works great and creates a tight fit.

> 3 dayWorks great. Make sure the depth is correct. Cut to shallow and the clamp protrudes above the groove

> 3 dayIf youre going to make MatchFit groves, this is better than a normal bit. I use it without pre-cutting a channel, because I figure Im only ever going to use this bit for Matchfit grooves, so Ill use it for those and use other bits for other projects. You WILL need to buy or make a height jig, as I have done (see photo). Just make a few passes through 1 material using the bit set at different heights until you get the height where it just makes a smooth top but no higher. Then drive the router through a piece of wood and widen it to get your height profile. Or you can buy the same thing from MicroJig for $15. But youll need it to get the same height every time. Your next danger is burning. Set a high speed and move as quickly as you can. I have a 1/4 bit, and Im sure that with a more powerful 1/2 router it would be easier to burn less. It takes some practice, and you have to keep moving. If you do keep burning, run a channel first to open up the path, then come through and dovetail it.
