I rarely leave reviews, so the fact Im doing so means its either very good or very bad. This mount is everything that its advertised to be. I bought it to connect the Midland 6db antenna and MXT275 radio in my 2020 Chevy Silverado. My truck has the GM Accessories Sport Bar that can be used to install offroad lights over the cab. This requires a plate GM provided. I drilled a hole through the plate big enough for this connector. As I was tightening the large flat brass piece on the top to complete assembly before installing the antenna I managed to overly tighten it and break the inner post, and severe it from the mount. Did this by hand, with my hand on the tool in the closest position I could be to the open end of the wrench. No power tools were used for this part. I guess I dont know my own strength as I want print any effort into it. It just broke. I just bought a replacement (didnt ask for a refund or replacement because I consider this user error) of the exact same product and will attempt to be more careful during install. Not looking forward to running the cable again, but it is what it is. Its an exercise in frustration. Just be careful when installing it as you could break it.

The Midland MXTA24 is perfect for a GMRS mobile installation in a Jeep Gladiator. Had a little shipping issue with UPS as they delivered it to a different city. The Midland Store was excellent to work with and understanding of the issue. They shipped me another coax by FedEx and it arrived a few days later. Five stars to the Midland Store! The removable pl-259 was perfect for getting through the Jeep frame and bulkhead (they dont call them firewalls anymore) and into the cab. From the rear bed location, through the frame and into the cab, I had about one foot of extra coax so that was by far a perfect length. I would definitely purchase from the Midland Store again and the MXTA24. Thank you Midland Store for all you did to make this happen!!!

Installed with ease, good reception. No issues at all.

This fits a 5/8” hole, not the standard 3/8” NMO holes. Also have a $60 Greenlee 3/8” hole punch that I normally use, now would have to buy another 5/8”. Normally like Midland products, but not sure what they’re doing here. Why would you not stay standardized? Glad I didn’t punch my trunk lid prior to looking this up as well, as in a previous comment regarding their roof mount.

They appear to be a quality product. It may be some time before I actually put them to use.

So on top of being a good NMO mount it works well on my hella thick CBI bracket and the connector has an assume two piece configuration to make running the coax through firewalls and grommets with ease. Have it used with a mars modded FTM300 and hit repeaters 60+ miles away

Features: - the jack can be unscrewed to allow for easier routing of the cable. - the NMO end can be also unscrewed and can be mounted thru a smaller CB style hole. It also has a locking washer that allows for grounding to the mount. So you might not need an additional hole or attachment mount to secure it to your Jeep, especially if youre replacing a CB antenna (and system) with a GMRS one. Excelent cable. Kudos Midland!
