Milton (S-156) Siphon Spray-Cleaning Blow Gun - Made For Use with Liquids - 150 PSI

> 24 hourThis unit pairs a quality blow gun with a siphon attachment that provides good suction at reasonable operating pressure. Running at 60psi, the Milton MILS156 had enough suction to pull a heavy, viscous liquid vertically through 3ft of 1/4 tubing. If you plan for continuous use make note of the air consumption - most home air compressors dont provide anywhere close to 14.0 SCFM so know that you will be waiting for compressor recharge.

> 24 hourThe only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because there is no way to put a hose on the outlet when using this device to remove liquid from a confined space, such as an engine cylinder. If it had been constructed so that the outlet nozzle could have been removed without disturbing the inlet connection, then a barbed fitting could have been installed and the output spray directed into a bucket or whatever. As it is, it sprays out a wide pattern of whatever you are pumping and goes everywhere! I have tried every thing to attach some kind of hose on the output nozzle but it is not possible.

> 24 hourA few things are important to know, all positives. First, it feels like a quality tool; solid construction, nothing flimsy. Then there is the function, of which there are a couple things to note: It works very well, creating a nice spray pattern while pushing liquid with the force needed to properly rinse off oil, grease, or what have you. Related is the syphons ability to transfer liquid. You can empty containers of liquid quickly/will be continuously moving around the item being sprayed so as not to waste product. No time will be lost trying to completely rinse an area. The first time I tried it out, I placed a hose into a plastic milk container with a hole in the cap just a little larger than the hose, and it quickly drained the liquid and proceeded to cause the container to implode. All of this is true when using a moderate 135 PSI and 5 or 6 SCFM. Most 20-30 gallon compressors will run this just fine. One more thing I want to mention concerns a statement made in one of the prominent reviews, in which the reviewer mentioned using this with pressurized liquid. I took that to mean that the liquid had to be pressurized, as in a pump sprayer, etc. in order for the syphon to work. This is not the case. I mention this in case it makes anyone hesitant to buy this tool, as it did me. It easily syphons liquid without any additional force being applied to the liquid.

> 24 hourThis is identical to the one I bought at least 20 years ago. I dropped it, and the fitting where the hose attaches to the nozzle broke, and I could not find a fitting that would screw into the nozzle (1/16 NPT?) anywhere. This one will hopefully last just as long.
