I like the shape of this blending tool for applying inks. I would recommend having several so that you can have one for inks, chalks, gesso, etc.

you would not think that a rounded blending tool would work so much better than the rectangular one for edging especially- but it does. Love this little tool and the pads are velcro so change out is quick & easy. Also you can wash & reuse them. Personally- I use a mild liquid soap- just a drop onto the pad, work it in, then rinse with water. DO NOT rinse with water first. Work in the soap (any mild liquid soap) and it will work out the majority of the ink & then rinse. Mind you- there will be staining, but the ink is gone & no transfer to future projects. Thus you get maximum life out of the product.

Used as a fun project by coloring over the gold and silver edges of bibles to achieve that art gilding effect of some premium bibles (Cambridge, Schuyler, Allan) -- can get up to Id say half the quality. Before using these blending tools, Id use cotton rounds but those things can get messy and you go through them like crazy. This tool makes it so much easier. Takes quite a few strokes to smooth everything out -- the round disc shapes gets imprinted as soon as you touch paper. Pretty happy with my results, and the price isnt bad.

I use these all the time. Love them. Im trying to buy many so I wont have to change tops. They are easy to change but Id love to have one for each color. I do mix the colors on them and have not no contamination

Used these for antique-ing in a vintage photo scrapbook.
