I was looking for an easier way to winterize my garden hoses. In the past I had to detach them from the hose caddy and then hang them over tree branches to get the water out of them. I wanted to use my air compressor to connect a line to the hoses and just blow the standing water out. I went to several home stores trying to find the 1/4” valve, garden hose fitting, and attachment. I found this Minimprover on Amazon that looked to have everything I needed in one kit. It came with everything required (including Teflon tape) and I was up and using it after 2 minutes of “assembly” (putting tape on the threads and hand tightening the fittings on). Easy to use and cheaper than finding the individual parts myself. Highly recommended!

I was able to easily connect it to my hose and get all the water out before a big storm hit. This tool saved me a lot of headaches and potential damage. It makes winterizing my sprinkler system a breeze. The brass construction is also a plus because its lead-free and its built to last. The size is also perfect and its easy to handle. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to winterize their sprinkler system, it makes the process so much easier and guarantees all the water is out, preventing any damage.

The sprinkler companies in my area charge $70-$80 to blow the lines out. This worked great and saves a ton of money. I used a fairly large compressor and could only do 2-3 zones at a time before i had to let the pressure build back up but it still only took about 30min.

The quick-connect fitting was not compatible with the one on my small pancake compressor. All the parts of the kit are good quality though, and I was able to get the job done by replacing the quick connect with a compatible fitting.

You got a 5” hose and bag of fittings you have to assemble yourself with this cheap Teflon tape they included. For $15 I’m not assembling anything !
