> 24 hourI ALMOST went with a laser edge finder, but this tool was chosen instead (a lot less expensive) and I have to say it is one of the best quality tools for this price I have ever purchased.

> 24 hourThis product doesnt seem to be an actual Mitutoyo edge finder, rather it is likely a generic copy. It seems to work but is not as accurate as I had hoped. Its fairly difficult to determine when to stop, and I had been under the misconception that there would be an audible indication as well. If there is an audible indication I cannot hear it over the sound of my milling machine motor (which isnt very loud, to be honest). I will admit that it could be operator error and that I may get better at using it with time.

> 24 hourFound the edge. Want to share a tip that has helped me a lot with CNC milling. Example: find the left side, set x to 0. Find the right side. Lets say it was 11.2763. Move edge Finder above top of part. Enter this gcode - G1 X[11.2763/2] f5. It does the math for you, no need to pull out the calculator, it takes you to the center; set x to 0. You are welcome.

> 24 hourI needed to get this for working on the mills at school I am learning to become a machinist so tight budget & this works just as good as a higher priced one.

> 24 hourPerfect grind, absolute mechanical perfection. Instantly, repeatably, and very visibly gets you within a couple tenths (0,005mm) every time.
