After doing research about lighting needs for our finches, we purchased this light. Unfortunately, one of our finches spent a lot of time in the upper part of the cage and died. The other finch was getting sick, too, but when we removed the light he got well very quickly. He’s been doing fine ever since removing the light. Just an FYI for bird parents. Be careful.

Light weight, low profile. No bulky light fixture hanging from whatever. Can clip to side of cage or just lay it on top like I do. I have one on both of my cages hooked to timers. Birds love them.

UPDATE: I just wanted to thank the seller for standing by the product. He honors the warranty with no problem, small issue with plug, but he sent a new one out immediately, even during the holiday season rush. Light is still working perfectly and birds love it. Buy with confidence from M&M, great seller! This light is perfect for my finch cage. My son mounted it to the top of the cage because its a solid roof and they sit at the top and really like to bask in the light. Its very bright and lights up practically the whole cage, which is pretty large. Totally happy with the purchase and would definitely purchase another one.

Was skeptical with reviews, but have to agree, my posse is much more active, vocal and happier with the lights.

I bought this light for my parrotlet because she kept pulling her chest feathers out. I had read she may need the light for vitamin D Since I started putting her light on her she hasn’t pulled any feathers out. She and I both love her light and it adds a little extra light in our living room.

It has been 6 months since I purchased my first one and it still worked perfectly fine, they once tried to chew the cord but the cord has been fine. The light doesnt feel too hot, while I still doubt how effective this light is on improving their health, because my birds doesnt seems to be attract by the light and most of time still choose to stay by the window, I felt safe because this is definitely not gonna burn my bird, The lights also make a great cage decoration. I have since purchased another one and use them with a 2 outlet mechanical timer, the adapter of the second one is different from the first one, the light color is also a bit different (one of them is a bit more yellowish), but still worked fine nonetheless.

This light fits perfectly and the installation was super easy. I highly recommend buying this timer on Amazon: M&M Cage Company Programmable Sunrise Sunset Dimming Timer. My green cheek conure freaks out with the light turning on suddenly and this timer fixed this. Happier Bird!

My bird love this light

These lights are much better quality than I expected, very sturdy and tough, I expect them to last for yrs! I purchased 2, 18 inch for my Conure and 10 inch for my budgie. My conure is actually considered a mini McCaw so he loves to destroy and tear apart everything, no worries with this light! They may seem expensive but trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I would give them 10 stars!
