Every other disposal Ive used or seen had a wall ot came abinet switch to flip. This button is handy and gives a clean counter look. Helps that polished or brushed chrome buttons and trim plates are included.

This air switch has a single outlet. Two outlet air switches allow you to power a second appliance using the same circuit. When the disposer is switched on, the other appliance is switched off. The benefit is that you can avoid running an entire new circuit for a hot water dispenser, for example. Works perfectly! My granite counter top has a 1 1/2 diameter hole. Most air switch button bases are 1 1/4 diameter and the flange on the top would go through my 1 1/2 hole. This Moen is 1 3/8 and the flange extends beyond the 1 1/2 hole, so it wont fall through. My previous switch was a 1 1/4 and the installer used a metal washer to keep it from falling through. However, a decade later the washer rusted through and the switch fell through. This switch doesnt need a washer.

A newly remodeled kitchen deserves a countertop accessible switch to activate the garbage disposal. There are lot of similar switches that are cheaper but I figure, Moen garbage disposal with matching Moen switch, if I ever have problems, Ill just call one company. No pointing fingers. I hope it lasts. Btw, the package came with two over options: chrome or stainless steel. Truly a good value.

Works well. Looks quality. We were going to install it, but the plumber beat us to it. He said they are so easy to install that he just did it.
