Moen YG5118CH Voss 18 inch Designer Grab bar, Chrome,

I purchased this towel bar as part of my bathroom redecoration project. It is well made, looks good and I am very pleased with if. Installation is very easy.

Bough this for a major bathroom remodel. commercial quality pluming fixtures are $$$$ and this was $$, Tile guy put it in. Dont forget the 2 x 4 backing board.

Nice high quality grab bar from Moen. The finish is flawless and the bar is very sturdy. All the installation hardware is included. The 1-1/4 diameter bar is a nice universal size to get a good grip on whether your hands are large or small. I would say larger hands my find it a bit undersized, but none the less still be useful. The brushed nickel finish looks so nice. It is also spot resistant and easy to keep clean. I like all things Moen. Definitely a high quality 5 star product.

A very nice grab bar that feels very secure in the box. However theres no real room for adjustment. If youre going to install this as a vertical bar, theres less issue, however if youre planning on a horizontal install make sure to exactly map out where your studs are. Unfortunately in many of our more recent house farm builds, the studs arent always placed the correct distance apart. While you can use anchors to increase the stability of the grab bar, its not something Id feel comfortable anchoring to drywall considering the purpose of the bar. Thanks to my studs being closer to 17 apart, I installed this vertically instead.

Like all Moen products I owned, this Designer Grab bar is elegantly designed and made of high quality material. The installation instruction is clear and there are video instructions online for visual assistance. The bar is very strong and it promises 500lb. Since none of us in the family weighs more than 200lb, I am sure this bar will last forever. I recommend it!

I require grab bars for my bathrooms (toilets and tub) due to mobility impairments. Ive really come to hate the medicinal looking aesthetics of other durable medical equipment. Moen grab bars are my first choice. Overall the quality is excellent. We installed this into the studs in our downstairs bathroom. It is very solid and reliable. My only caveat with this bar is the square shape which is a little hard on the hands. I have a different Moen bar with padded grips on the inside. This does not have that and so is tougher on the grip. That aside this looks beautiful and doubles as a towel bar when not needed.

This is quite heavy and impressive. I installed this in my shop in various positions to figure out how we want it in the bathroom. It supported me quite well and I’m much larger than I would like to be, though not as large as this time last year. I did use larger screws than those provided, though. I may not have needed to, but I’ve been doing that for many years and see no reason to stop. The bar is attractive and the diameter is large enough to get a good grip on. You must attach this to studs. Attempting to do this with any connectors and drywall will not end well when really needed. We have a shorter Moen bar in another bathroom and it is used on a regular basis.
