> 3 dayI have no artistic skills but I like the idea of animating things so wanted to give it a shot. While this software isnt simple (you have to draw, color, and animate), its not terribly difficult and a reasonably smart or dedicated person can use it. It comes with libraries already built in that you can tweak to get you started, as well as a 300+ page getting started booklet in PDF format. Im not expecting to make movies, but I love that I can do at least a little something.

> 3 dayThe disc didnt come with all the files needed for installation. And the one you need, msvcr100.dll isnt even available anymore. You also cant return opened software, so its money down the drain.

> 3 dayExcited to master the debut so we can dig in to the pro. I did get both as I figured we would have one installed on 2 different machines and that the debut version would be good training ground. I will upload some creations once I get a little better. The large number of features makes this a valuable addition to my business.

16-11-2024My 12 year old son figured out how to use the software within a short time and already had a custom character that he designed and animated. I think it is a fun program and I think my son will have a good learning experience designing and animating characters. It does come with a few preset characters you can work with for making animations.

> 3 dayI am a complete noob at this type of stuff. I was worried that even the beginning would be over my head, but the Beginners Mode is very easy to use and I began learning right away. It is fun and fascinating to learn how the animation process works. Learning by doing is the best way. You can use characters found in the Content Library or download from the internet, or create your own , depending on your abilities. I am a beginner, but I can see that this software will take me far on my animation journey.

> 3 dayInitial impressions- Initially, I opened the software in beginner mode and then needed to dive into tutorials. I thought that I would be able to pull up characters and get them to move quickly. However, I am now on my 15th video and have not yet created a character and can tell I will need to study and further educate myself on this software. I have learned about bones and manipulated an existing flytrap and was able to move its parts around but can tell that there is quite a bit I will need to learn and understand. A lot of patience will be needed. There is an incredible amount of potential and I look forward to further use. However, I would not expect to be able to create a character in five minutes unless you have existing experience. There are a lot controls to understand. I will continue to use this and update with time and use.

> 3 dayIm technical, but have very no experience in animation software and was hoping to introduce my kids to digital art and animation. That said, this software will take some time to understand the process, learn and practice to get a functional animation.

Greater than one weekMojo Debut is a great intro to animation at a really cheap price. This will allow you to spend a small amount of money to see if you really like the Mojo tools before you spend the money to upgrade to the pro version. My kids use Mojo Debut and have picked it up very quickly. They love it and have already been creating animations and learning as they go. For the price you wont find anything close to this amazing animation tool set.

Greater than one weekIf you dont have access to a dvd rom, you can download from their site and just input the serial number from the dvd. I have zero knowledge about animations, but in navigating inside the software, it feels very familiar to photoshop. On the left side of the software is a BEGINNERS MODE TOOL column. When you highlight a tool, there is an info box explaining what the tool does, as well as a video link you can click on for further demonstration. These video links take you to YT btw. Get used to the word BONE. In animation, you need to give your character bones in order for them to move. Each bone, whether it be arm, leg, hand, etc. has movements that you can define. I still know nothing, but I feel the software isnt all that intimidating if you spend a little time with it, as well as watching YT tutorials. And if you have photoshop or adobe illustrator experience, I think youll feel right at home. 5-Stars.

> 3 dayI have been a user of Moho for over 10 years. It’s my go to animation software and an essential tool in my workflow. I have also released a few courses and a book on how to use the software. I think it’s a fantastic investment for anyone interested in animation. The Debut version of Moho is a great way to enter the animation world on a budget. You get access to some of Moho’s best features: the Bone system, camera, multiple layer types and vector tools. Moho can be used to create any style of animation from something like Family Guy, South Park or Archer, to Anime or anything in between. You can design everything in Moho or import outside images, or even combine the two. A streamlined yet powerful set of tools for creating fun animations. As stated, Debut is streamlined compared to Pro. You will find more options with Pro, but Debut is a great place for beginners or hobbyists. Even better, if you realize down the road you need more functionality, you can easily bring your Debut project files over to Pro and keep building up your work with the enhanced toolset. Bottom line: if you’re curious about animation but don’t want to invest a lot, this is a great place to start. It showcases some of Moho’s best features, is functional for creating standalone productions and allows for further expansion with the optional Pro version.
