Monikers

Such a great game, we play it at work and dinner parties all the time.

I have played this with friends, family, and neighbors. It is always fun and inevitably someone asks for the name of it because they want to buy it! Used it at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Housewarming, and NYE.

After an enthusiastic review of Monikers on Shut Up and Sit Down, I knew I had to have this game. Its essentially Charades/Celebrities, but vastly improved, and with updated characters. The game has hundreds of cards, and each has a lovely little description of a character to help you in the first round. They range anywhere from Nyancat to Nobody to Tom Sellecks Moustache, in a hilarious reference filled romp through popular culture.

Played this game twice with different groups of people. In both cases, we enjoyed ourselves through the first round, but then as the rounds progressed, everyone began to lose interest. We only finished it once, and barely.

This game is easy to learn, a lot of fun, and can be adjusted in length for various groups. I tend to only play three rounds (any words or actions; one word, any actions; no words, any actions). Its best with 6+ people (really, 10 is perfect, in my opinion). Some of the cards will reference historical or pop cultural references that some people dont know. But their reactions to these cards (and, usually, the ability to pass) will keep this from being problematic.

Such a great game for game night with a big group or smaller group. So many laughs. I highly recommend it!

Ok, seriously... this is the most played game that hits our gaming group. This is saying something because we easily have over 1000 games in our collection. We play the cooperative variant of Monikers and can get enough. Countless hours of fun and memories for $25... I cant recommend this enough.

So much fun. A must buy for any party
