Great speaker wire it is the only wire i use for my home theater. Produces great sound and it easy to pull though walls. I always use banana clips on both ends for better connections. I will keep buying this wire!!

The wire is indeed pure Oxygen Free Copper. Its of good quality, and its my go to wire for wiring Addressable LEDs.

Paper thin casing. Not measured properly. Paid for 250. Received 210. Not recommended.

Bon fil flexible, certifié UL avec hologramme, solide, se soude facilement, pas de chaleur à l’usage, je n’ai pas de craintes pour l’avenir.

Bought a couple hundred feet of this to use in a church sound installation with subs, mid cabs, and tops. Worked great, sounds great. Copper wire is copper wire and 14 gauge is 14 gauge. Dont throw away money on bigger name brand speaker wire, I have in the past and honestly couldnt tell the difference. The difference in sound quality is probably not audible to the ears.

This is my second spool ordered and bot ends broken off and the wire uncoiled in the box/bag. Shrink wrap is only over the wire and not the spool ends, so any bounces and both snap off. If you dont want to constantly return these or dont mind spending a half hour untangling and transferring it to another spool, buy a different brand.

Great speaker wire! Replacing factory BOSE cables with this one as I need no-visible cable look for 5.1 system in the lounge. Obviously if you know about speaker cables the you will know already that this is great copper wire and it comes in CL2 rated jacket which means it can go into the walls/floor. 100ft is a lot, make sure you dont run more than 50ft each. Also, make sure that both rears are same length as signal to the speakers is analogue and IT MAKES DIFFERENCE (time). Yes, you can adjust it if you have cleaver amp but better to do it right.

Its wire... and it works like wire. Doesnt pick up extra signal or ambient noise that I can tell. Had no issues running about 1000 feet of this stuff through my two home theater setups. Cost effective and In wall safe. No point in buying Monster cable when this stuff does a great job. Copper is copper.

Good quality cable. Measured it to100 feet.

Get the most out of your home audio system with high quality, oxygen-free, pure bare copper speaker wire from monoprice!

this speaker wire features two conductors made of high purity (greater than 99.95% pure), oxygen-free bare copper. Pure bare copper is a superior conductor to the copper clad aluminum (CCA) conductors used in most other inexpensive speaker wire. Cca is only about 68% as conductive as pure bare copper. This additional resistance is added to the impedance of your speakers and can negatively effect The sound.

for the wire to have no audible effect, The total wire resistance should be no more than 5% of the lowest impedance of your speakers. Even speakers rated for a nominal 8-ohms, may dip to as low as 4-ohms at some frequencies, which further reduces the total cable resistance allowed in the wire. Using pure bare copper speaker wire ensures that the total load put on the amplifier remains as close as possible to the impedance curve of your speakers.

for example, a 16AWG 2-conductor pure bare copper speaker wire has a total resistance of 0.803 ohms per 100 feet (both directions must be considered). by comparison, a 16AWG 2-conductor CCA speaker wire has a total resistance of 1.181 ohms per 100 feet. Assuming 4 ohms is the lowest impedance of your speakers, a speaker wire run can be no more 0.2-Ohms total. 20 feet of 16AWG pure bare copper would be 0.1606 ohms, well under the 0.2-Ohm limit. On the other hand, 20 feet of 16AWG CCA would be 0.2362 ohms, well over the 0.2-Ohm limit.

each conductor is jacketed with color-coded PVC for easy polarity identification. The entire cable assembly is jacketed in a white, CL2-rated PVC material. The CL2 rating indicates that the cable complies with fire safety and insurance requirements, making it safe for use inside the walls of residential class buildings.
