I have tried some other more expensive cables over the years, and I have to say the Monoprice cable is a bargain. I have used it on my HT setup in the past with a JBL customsetup of 2 way horns, and now I am using it with K402 horns. I cannot see any reason to pay more for speaker wire than what Monoprice charges. Another plus is that this wire is white sheathed so it will blend in with your baseboards or wall (if they are white like mine are). Highly recommended.

I need to run a new home theater setup with a Marantz AVR SR 5015 with a whole Elac speaker package. Let me say wow. This is a great setup. No joke, I don’t like the harshness of Klipsch speaker, so this set up is too sweet with the Elac and Marantz sound especially with these cables. Warm sound, crisp dialogue in your chest Bass. This setup up is the AVR listed and Elac Debut 2.0 and Elac sub 1010 with the Monoprice subwoofer cable.

Heavy duty cable, though I though the outside sleeve would be a bit thicker for added protection.

Driving my surround Aperion ceiling speakers. It runs past my wiring and recessed lights without any buzz or interference, so I assume it is shielded.

I made the mistake of ordering a few different brands before i discovered monoprice. I found out that a lot of them were selling copper clad(coated) aluminum cables... very cheap and a does not compare to the 100% copper cables monoprice produces. The quality is worth a little extra in purchase price.

I was running speaker wire in my walls for a CLEAN 5.1 speaker installation. This wire is rated CL2 and was as thick as I could fit in the space I had. It works fine and that is all I can ask for.

Great cable for the money. I was not doing long runs so the spool was not an issue.
