    I was a die-hard Liquitex fan for years, but after being gifted the Mont Marte acrylic set for Christmas my views on other acrylic paints have forever changed. I still use Liquitex, but I much prefer the steadfastness, opaqueness and blendability that their acrylic collection has to offer. They have a wide range of colors and I love how long they can last for. I especially love their metallics, gold and silver. Such wonderful opaqueness.

These acrylic paints feature a smooth, creamy texture and good coverage that dries to a semi-matte finish. They’re also fast-drying so you can layer paint without muddying colors, making them ideal for a classroom setting. Use these versatile art paints on most surfaces including canvas, cardboard, leather and more.



Handy hints:

  • Mix additional pouring medium with your paints to increase flow

  • To build paint opacity, apply first coat thinly and wait till dry before applying additional coats until desired opacity is achieved

  • Clean up with warm soapy water while wet

  • Lay artwork on a flat surface to dry for around 1-3 days (depending on thickness of paint)

    To reduce environmental impact

    • Recycle excess acrylic paint at a recycling facility

    • To dispose of acrylic paint, make sure it"s completely dried out then dispose in bin

    • Wipe off paintbrush residue on a reusable rag, instead of washing down the sink

    • You can evaporate excess paint water by adding it to a large container placed outdoors in a well-ventilated area in full sun (mesh can be used to prevent animals drinking water)
