This cable seems to be well made. It is a little stuff as a result of having the solid core inner wire, but in my application it wont be moving much once its installed in the car. I wanted to have a short cable to a small antenna for scanning on the side with my handheld, which has a BNC end that matches this cable. The connectors look like they are nice parts and the heat shrink is well done. I dont have any meters or equipment sensitive enough to measure any power loss on a piece of coax this short, safe to assume it is indeed very low loss at the 6 foot length. I am very happy to not be needing to use adapters for my use case.

I picked up this cable specifically for use between a SDR (SMA) and a portable antenna with a BNC connector. I typically try to purchase application-specific cables when possible to reduce the insertion loss from various adapters. This cable from MOOKEERF fit my needs perfectly. As with other MOOKEERF cables Ive purchased, this one has excellent build quality with quality cable and connectors. I dont use these in a permanent outdoor scenario so cant really speak to their resistance to the elements. For my application-specific use cases, these cables perform with excellence and Im very satisfied.

Both connectors (BNC and SMA) appear to be new and of good mechanical quality, almost certainly factory assembled onto the cable ends. Both ends have about 5.5 cm stiffener sheath heat-shrunk around the connector, as shown in the ad photos. Both connectors have gold plated (or, at least gold colored ;) ) center conductor pins, as advertised. The length of the cable I received was 4.5 m (14.85), per ad. The cable itself is no-name RG-8X, 6 mm diameter, rather stiff. Sheath is white-ish, more or less as shown in the photos. Markings: RG8X Low Loss Coaxial Cable at one-meter intervals, with spool extent increment indicated at each marking. No manufacturer name is imprinted anywhere on the cable that I could find. Quick connectivity check at 10 MHz, no issues. Did not measure loss vs. frequency. Summary: Cable appears to be substantially as advertised, no issues found.

The construction of this cable appears rugged. Strain relief at each end appears to be double-layered. I measured loss up to 1.5 GHz, see attached screen shot. Loss at 1.5 GHz is just over 1 dB. Note: this is NOT a flexible piece of coax, so is more suited to a permanent installation, rather than a lab cable that gets handled a lot.

The cable is stiff, but seems durable. Each end has a generous length of heat shrink to reinforce the connector. The SMA connector has a gold plated barrel and pin; the BNC connector barrel is nickel plated with a gold plated pin. I measured insertion loss using a Nano-VNA: 1.0 dB @ 3000 MHz 0.8 dB @ 2000 MHz 0.4 dB @ 1000 MHz 0.4 dB @ 500 MHz 0.0 dB @ 50 kHz The cable should be sufficient for hobby purposes and for the cost is a good value.

Oh yes. Impressed with the connectors. They actually fit without snagging, flopping, etc. This is good quality cable... Cable is stiff enough to stay arranged, but flexible enough to re-arrange. 15 was an overkill for my immediate project, and error on my part - thought Id ordered a shorter version, but repurposed this one and will order the sizes I actually need

I play around with vintage televisions, and one of my tv transmitters has a female BNC port, and the transmitting antenna that I have to connect it to has a SMA male connector. Since this cable also has SMA male on one end, I needed to purchase separately a SMA female to female adapter. Everything works fine. This is a high quality cable with nice sturdy connectors. 5-Stars.

i havent had the opportunity to use this yet, but it was ziptied and tightly wound in its box. i like the overall appearance, feel, length and sturdyness. it also looks very durable. Strong cable cord, terminated with well and firm, Quality made fittings/connectors, each secured by a hefty, thick heat shrink. very very nice

This is on me. I quit reading when I saw RG8x and ordered it. I should have looked at the specs better. The first indicator for me that it was different than what I was used to was how stiff the coax is. Thats because it has a solid core. This is fine if you will be using it in a fixed location. I was expecting the typical stranded center conductor which is a much more flexible and reliable coax for field use. After going back and reviewing the listing, this coax looked more like RG9 or RG6 Dual Shield coax (which is a 75Ohm cable). So, I checked it out with a vector network analyzer and compared it against some known RG8x cable. When checked for loss it was the same spec. When checked for impedence, it showed 50Ohms as expected. Next I cut it open to check how good a coverage the braid and shield were providing. Looked good. I wish this coax had a stranded core. Other than that, seems to be a nice cable that meets specs.

Many pieces of radio-related equipment come only with SMA jacks, and sometimes using SMA-UHF or SMA-BNC adapters is not particularly convenient. This patch cable is solidly built - connectors are securely soldered and heat-shrink wrapped. My only complaint is that the coaxial cable itself is quite rigid and tough to reform into a coil for storage/transport. It is ideal if you need a cable like this in a fixed location, and dont have to worry about coiling and uncoiling it often. Even with the rigidity of the cable, this line has found a permanent place in my box of test equipment.
