> 3 dayDid an amazing job holding my TV up. I add to install a different one at no fault of this mount. Tv was mounting too high and needed to find one that could raise or lower the mounting capabilities. I have kept the mount to use on another TV. Would recommend!!

> 3 dayInstalled a 65 Sony 9 series on this and it fits perfectly. I used online tips for finding the 2x4s. I have an electronic stud finder and an old reliable magnet stud finder. Once the 2x4 was located I used a very small nail to find the exact center of the 2x4. I always use blue tape and refrain from marking on the wall. One tip I will pass along. Most recommend 42 viewing center for the TV. This defeats the purpose of hanging it however as that was the height it was on the stand. I put mine at 55 center from the floor. I still have 4 I can lower on the brackets, but my wife and I found this height perfect as I can tip the TV a few degrees down. I didnt remove the TV stand until it was on the wall. Made no sense to lay the TV on its face, remove the stand, flip it back over and then hang it. My wife assisted me and we hung it easily. I then removed the TV stand. I used wall channel from Amazon to hide the wires as the TV hangs on a wall that faces outside. I did not wany to disturb any insulation. It looks great and have gotten several compliments.

10-06-2025Although one of the question asked specifically mentioned the Samsung 65 series and the answer was that it is compatible, IT IS NOT! the 65 series has a curved back, and no combination of the supplied bolts, washers and spacers will allow a successful mounting. Not even the spacers that come with the Samsung work. The design is faulty, the directions are confusing, and the product will not work as advertised. Beware of questions that are answered with a view toward selling you this product instead of truthfully describing what it can and cannot do. EDIT: just before sending the mount back I talked to Best Buys Geek Squad, in the store Id purchased the LED. Turns out that Samsung anticipated the problem with the curved back and supposedly included a fix: some oversized long spacers that held the two mounting bars to the back of the TV. There did not seem to be anything like that but it turned out my neighbor had two extra. I still think the whole thing is a kluge and I blame the seller for not making this clear and Samsung for not issuing a warning about the curved back issue and their fix. I had to go down to Ace Hardware to get longer metric bolts, but finally managed to get the TV hung. So, if you have one of this model, a UN65RU7100, and you have the special spacers, and can buy the longer metric bolts (M8 50mm 1.25 pitch) it may work. But, given the lack of information by both seller and Samsung Id give you a big caveat emptor.
