> 3 dayThis is one heck of a monitor and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on getting it. I previously had a 2k MSI monitor that was a VA panel, but this ultra-wide is just SO much better than what I had before. If you are looking for a wonderful gaming monitor with deep blacks and good contrast/colors, get this monitor. You will not regret it!

> 3 dayPackaging and all looked just fine and dandy, carefully set it inside and started to unpack everything, nothing dropped, or was set down roughly, nor grabbed the monitor by its sides, assembly and transportation from the box to desk was about as good as you could get it. Plug the DP and power cord up, Power light comes on! Backlight comes on!... Wheres the rest?? Messed around with a HDMI cable (2 of them) into several different computers and even a Roku, and nothing changed outside of just a backlight, not even a OSD popped up during any of the attempts, granted I was bold to assume a monitor needed a signal to show its OSD, but benefit of the doubt, and with two to three hours of troubleshooting, nothing has changed. Amazing.

> 3 dayUpgraded to this after my previous monitor (30 in. Spectre ultrawide @ 2560x1080 200hz) died after 2 years of use out of the blue because the capacitors burnt out. After a bit of contrast and RGB calibration out of the box, the colors look even sharper than the Spectre. Definitely a lot less gray and more defined. The backlight bleeding the Spectre suffered from is also practically nonexistent in this one. Very even lighting through and through. FFXIV looks much more crisp at this resolution, to the point where Ive disabled most of the custom FXAA/bloom/blur shaders I previously used at 2560x1080 which helped hide the jaggedness. Overall quite happy with my purchase. I cannot elaborate on VA smearing and response times as I do not play FPS games, and this is perfect so far for my MMO + programming needs.

> 3 dayI first bought two 27 LG ultragear monitors (1080, 240hz, IPS), and i liked them at firs but there were too many downsides in my laptop+monitors setup with them. Returned them just before a month was up. -3 screens, none of them great pic when sitting at desk distance -IPS can be a bit bright at that distance, when using for extended periods -550ish was a relatively lot to spend on monitors, got me thinking what else i could get for same or less money shopped around A LOT. 34 wide 3440x1440 @ 144hz with 1ms response at this price is a deal, and MSI is not a garbage brand. decided to try. Like: -easy on the eyes -size is great, pretty much perfect for working or gaming. my laptop sits next to it, so I still have 2 monitors -widescreen compatible with all games ive played so far, easy to use -nice stand, doesnt take up much space im still figuring out the best picture settings, its not entirely obvious what they should be. I shopped around a lot and bought and returned some stuff and I dont think I could have done any better for the money. For a workstation monitor, first, that also happens to be really nice on games.
