Muppet Babies Volume 1

Kid loves this show

This is an adorable re-imagining of The Muppet Babies for a new generation of kids! My children already love The Muppets but this is a really cute and timely new series that made them even bigger fans. The animation is really cute and the character design and voices are great. Summer is a great addition to the crew! I am only sad theres no Scooter and Skeeter, maybe in future seasons. Great for any Disney Jr. age kiddos in your household. Lovely messages about friendship, understanding and other age appropriate lessons.

I grew up with this show as a child and loved it. When I had babies I knew I had to find the originals to share with my children. As an adult, it was fun to revisit but I didnt love how the characters were always bickering, calling each other negative names, and the constant overuse of the word stupid. Also, the pop culture references of that time soared way over their heads (Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Jetsons, Romancing the Stone, Labrynth... just to name a couple). These faults werent a deal breaker. The show still offered a lot of value in terms of using imagination, the importance of reading, the fun music, and overall friendship values. My kids love it and after we had a few discussions about how we dont really treat each other that way, use those negative words, and that the Muppet Babies were only make believe and we dont really want to be like them; I didnt feel too bad letting them watch it. Ive been waiting for the reboot since they first announced it a couple years ago. I had hoped that it would still carry the same spirit in the more modern kids television enviroment of today. We have not been disapointed! Although this show is much tamer than the original, it still has the fun imagination element that is clearly the heart of the show. My kids do miss Rowlf, Scooter, Skeeter, Bunsen and Beeker... but we are only 4 episodes in at the time of writing this so maybe (hopefully) they will show up later. Also, the mixed media cartoon style is a good fit... they actually look like Muppets and a less like cartoon animals. It wont replace the original Muppet Babies in our house, but its nice to see new life breathed into our favorite characters. Great job, Disney!

My son enjoyed sneaking and buying this while we were on vacation and he was with his grandpa. He is such a huge muppet fan he was willing to just press purchase without thinking of the consequences.

It can be said that it is a good purchase, however, it is a pity that Disney does not put an image on DVD discs. The DVD case is also very thin, I had to change it to a thicker one The bonus material is enjoyed enough and Ill be waiting for the second volume with more of the Muppet Babies

I love this new reboot. I wish it was more like the old one though. I love watching it with my 2 year old. BRING BACK BEAKER & BUNSEN!!!
