I had ordered a highly rated expandable backpack, but there were no pockets storage! Great and lightweight for carrying only your 17 computer and charger for the day, and some rolled up clothes (when you expand it). But no pockets or other cool features -returned it. I needed more pockets! This is an amazing backpack. The feel of the material yells out Im water resistant and good looking too. Top zipper pocket is ideal for often used items like sunglasses or keys. Right side has elastic opening for a water bottle (or your sunglasses)! Many laptop backpacks do not offer this feature anymore. Front pocket will fit a small iPad (small spiral note book here). Front main TOP zipper has lots of room for shoes (as advertised), and lots of pocket storage and a removable keychain. This was something that I wanted. Love hanging small items here that is easy to reach. The only issue here is that the zipper opening is small and you will need to dig around to get to stuff in the bottom. Unzip the main area for more pockets, zipper pocket, and ... I guess overnight travel clothes. (sunglasses show some of the storage areas). Like most new backpacks the computer is the last zipper storage area. Unzip for a Big and Generous area! My 17 MacBook Pro fit in the back pocket easily. There is also a small front pocket area for a small iPad or accessories. The back of the backpack has a hidden zipper pocket for valuable items (show here with a spiral note book - which does not fit in, only for demonstration purposes). How many backpacks offer a shoulder / chest cross strap, with a whistle? I love this feature as it gives you a more secure feeling while walking, carrying other items, running, or on public transportation. Robbers will not be able to pull the backpack off your shoulder as your are strapped in! The back of the backpack also has a cross strap that will fit over your standard carryon luggage for rolling around the airport. There is as big sturdy padded handle, much better than cheap lightweight backpacks. This becomes important when you load this baby up and carry it from the handle. And lastly there is a small zipper pocket on the Left Shoulder strap. Ideal for quick cash, credit card, ID, or to store your earbuds. Highly recommend this backpack if you are looking to replace an old school nylon outdoor backpack, looking for storage pockets , front shoulder cross strap, keychain holder, that will hold a 17 MacBook Pro, and a hidden water bottle pocket (or for your sunglasses)

International travel

I purchased this backpack for traveling to conferences and it has since become my daily work bag. Its good quality for the price, water resistant/waterproof (I live in Seattle), and has a lot of storage space without being bulky. Its a great commuter backpack and really useful if you carry a lot of tech/cords/adapters around with you. The built in usb charger is a lifesaver in transport. The only minor issue I have is that the water bottle pocket is very tight with little to no stretch, it barely fits my narrow Hydroflask.

Perfect for both professional use and weekend travel. Sturdy quality. Im a 53 year old minimalist. Used it today for a corporate business meeting and plan on using it for weekend travel to see family next month.

I have no idea who Mark Ryden is and dont care. Would be perfect if it had no name so I dont have to answer everyones questions Who is Mark Rydyen or what the xxx is that guys name on your backpack? Otherwise nice backpack that is more unique looking yet very functional with a lot of compartments. I wish it had one more internal zipped storage and one more clip/key holder.

This backpack is awesome! As my wife will attest too, Im kind of a bag/backpack... well, I have a lot of bags and backpacks... ;-) This is well designed, very comfortable and holds a lot more than I would have thought... Its a Very Good Backpack and looks great!

It fits my every day carry with plenty of room to spare. Looks slim even when I fill it up. A little sad that there is no false bottom for the laptop pocket but thats really my only complaint. Can’t wait to try it out in college. 1 year update: I use the backpack for traveling now. My university is about 3 hours away from my home. I pack it full of clothes, my tech, and toilettes. I find the bag more useful as a day trip (or a few days) bag rather than a college bag. Anyways, still an amazing bag but get the 2 pocket one if you’re looking for a college bag. The 3 pocket one has too many pockets.

I bought this looking for what could best be described as a portable office. It is so outstanding that my husband saw it and instantly wanted one also, so now we have two of the three pocket variety. It fits an astonishing amount of stuff in it and the best thing of all is that I can FIND everything. I keep my passport in the hidden pocket that touches my back while Im in the airport so that I can get it easily. It hangs keys. There are many, many pockets. I keep a 16 inch laptop, a full sized iPad, several hard drives, full make up, pens, highlighters, erasers, sunglasses, two full-size heavy notebooks, a water bottle, glasses, a scarf, sometimes my slippers. a big full size womens wallet, my phone, laptop charger, iPad charger and phone charger, an enormous bunch of keys, and more. Its really perfect. Someone in the questions was asking about the brand name and I also dont like brand names showing on things, really, but the name is not ostentatiously displayed, barely noticeable in fact, and this is the best backpack Ive ever owned or heard of, so I dont mind at all. I was not paid for writing this review and I dont normally write reviews. Congratulations to the designer. And Thank you - so many headaches solved.

its amazing and opens almost like a suitcase so you can see everything inside. he walks in the rain with it to visit me and all we do is wipe it down and everything inside is dry. love ithe uses it for quick travels back to his country for his bizz and fits clothes shoes and computer inside.
