I used it for painting. I like the way it is made and easy to use.

The Good: I love using this thing for holding my water. I like the fact that it has different compartments, so I can keep the larger area for my rinse water and keep clean water in the back for thinning paints. The brush holder aspect is also pretty nice; I have some weird shaped brushes so it doesnt hold all of mine, but it will hold the ones I use the most. Its also very difficult to knock over, which is important because Im super clumsy. The Bad: I used the lid as a palette once. Never again. Its so difficult to clean! I actually love the size of the little compartments, but due to the fact that the walls are high, its nearly impossible to get into the crevices of each cell. If youre the kind of person that happily puts new paint on top of old, dried paint, then I would highly recommend using the palette. I, however, am distressed by that idea, so Ive fully gotten rid of that middle piece so now I only have the well and the lid. The Conclusion: Even if you end up hating the palette, Id still recommend this for the water well alone.
