Nalgene WM 1 QT Melon Ball Bottle, 32 oz (341849)

My last Nalgene finally needed a new lid, it was 27 years old. I purchased a new lid and a new bpa free bottle. The old one will be used for overnights where I need a backup.

There are so many things to like about a nalgene water bottle. For starters this thing can take a beating; you can drop it on pavement, it can be kicked around, it can get crushed, and you stick wont see it leak or break. For me one of the most important things was being easy to clean because of the wide mouth. Its definitely a good way to reduce the amount of plastic you use and save some money by not purchasing bottled water all the time.

I used the bottle as my only liquid container on a 4 day camping trip in the boundary waters canoe area. I had a lot of gear so while portaging from lake to lake I hung the bottle with a carabiner from its plastic cap connector to my pack. This eventually caused the connector to break.

I was sick of handwashing all my insulated bottles so I ordered this. It goes in the dishwasher. Easy peasy to clean. Doesnt dent when it gets dropped. And it does get dropped. They all get dropped at some point. I love the color. The orange and green together is perfect. I use a silicone straw with it. I just fold it over and tuck it inside to put the lid on.

A classic standby. I love this style of water bottle because it never leaks and I can just throw it in my bag. I bought one in green and one on orange to replace my 10+ year old Nalgene. The colors are bright and hold up after washing.

Everything you could ask for in an inexpensive water bottle. Its so good I bought one for my little brother. Its a wide mouth, so its difficult to walk and drink at the same time if theres a lot of water in it. Thats my only complaint.

I ordered this bottle for my husband, it was a great price. But when we received it...the first time he filled it up and used it...it leaked all over the place. He discovered where the cap screws on, it was defective...made uneven so that it was not a tight seal. We were going to return it, but he ended up using a metal file on it, rather than deal with the headache of returning. It works now. Other than the defect, it is a good bottle.

I bought one so I would be reminded to drink more water during the day, and I liked it so much I bought one to use for work as well. I even sent two to my friends from college and they also love using them. Amazing product!
