> 3 dayI purchased this product to protect a new video projector. The size, construction, and customizable foam created a perfect fit. It is incredibly durable and would withstand travel, airport baggage, and accidental abuse very well. Variety of colors, styles, and prices makes it a really good item to consider if you have valuable technology to protect.

> 3 dayFor my job, I use precision equipment (laser & targets) at various sites. The equipment originally came in a large, unwieldy box that I always had to get help to move around. And I didnt like to leave the most valuable pieces sitting out in the open overnight, so I needed a way to pack up and easily carry several parts. This case fits the bill extremely well. It comes with several layers of 1 thick foam that are perforated in 1 cubes for easy customization. (Actually, that part was pretty fun to do.) All of my most delicate and expensive parts are fully encased with foam for good shock protection. That protection has been tested a few times when the case fell off a hand cart or got dropped as I attempted to navigate a turnstile - all of my equipment is in good condition except for a few dings that happened during actual use. The case itself shows very few signs of wear, so I expect it will continue to be a good investment for years to come. I especially like the orange color - its bright enough to catch my attention at the end of a long workday, so Im not likely to forget it as Im heading out.

> 3 dayI often take my camera out on my boat during the summer months and needed a case that could withstand the water and moisture on a daily bases. While at my local Camera store I ran across the Nanuk cases. You might wonder why I did not go with Pelican, the answer was simple, I broke my nail trying to latch the case. Really! The case has worked out perfect and the latches are a dream.

> 3 dayI recently purchased a new projector for business purposes. It did not come with a case. I wanted to get a hard case for it to protect against damage caused by traveling, storing it, etc. Amazon recommended a case for around $50 that was supposedly built for the projector. I read all of the reviews, and while many were positive, the consensus was that the case was a light duty thin walled plastic box. I have other equipment I store in a Pelican case and have been extremely pleased with it. Thats the style and quality of case I was used to and thats what I wanted to protect my expensive electronic equipment this time around as well. However, for this purchase, I didnt want to spend $200+ for a comparable product from Pelican. I found Nanuk by chance when I was searching for an alternative. Reviews sounded good. The product looked good, their website gave me confidence and over all the product seemed to fit my criteria. The price was $114 on Amazon for a black Nanuk 925 case (the size I needed). For an extra $64 over the light duty case and a savings of about $120 over the Pelican Case, I thought this was worth a try. So far this case is Bad A**! Comparing My Pelican Case to the Nanuk 925 Side by side, I cant tell the difference in quality. The main difference I can see is with the latches. I like the Nanuk hinges better than the Pelican. They grab the top of the case and pull it down tight to make the seal. The Pelican Case I have closes neatly and the latches close nicely, but the Nanuk just feels like it makes a tighter seal. The Nanuk Case came with 2 pieces of special cubed foam inside (1 to use and 1 spare) that i was easily able to separate to make a perfect fit for the projector and accessories. The carry handle feels like the Pelican Case and the outer shell looks and feels similar. Aside from the latches, the only difference appears to be that Pelican is made in the US and It sounds like Nanuk is made in China. If I were a brand snob and had more money to spend, Id go with Pelican hands down. However, quality, functionality and price are important factors to me for this purchase, and so far, this case appears to be the best deal that I have found for my situation. Id recommend this case to anyone looking for a solid weather proof high quality plastic case for protecting their gear.

> 3 dayNanuk has a winner with this case, especially compared to the Pelican line which once had the monopoly on waterproof cases. Nanuk is superior in price (considerably) and design of the latches (a great improvement) and the built-in pressure release. It was perfect for my Canon camcorder, Canon U/W housing, U/W video light and armature, batteries, and everything else I needed while on a boat.

> 3 dayThe smooth vs rugged texture might fool you, but these are very comparable to pelicans in quality. The padded dividers are okay but if your item doesnt cover the whole height of empty space, it doesnt really hold them down tightly enough to prevent them bouncing up and down as you lug the case around. The latches are kind of badly designed and I keep jamming my fingers in the hoops trying to open it but you have to actually depress the switch to release them (see picture).
