It fits perfectly on her car seat but I just don’t like that the strap that goes around the head the Velcro isn’t long enough to make the strap tighter so it won’t come off so easily

When we received our Nap Up Car Seat Head Supports (in blue) we were very impressed with the quality of work that was put into each item. The head support itself is lightly padded to add comfort, the fabric felt breathable and soft, and the strap across the front provided plenty of strength to hold a sleeping child’s head yet was flexible enough to feel comfortable and not too restricting. The front strap is also adjustable so you can easily tilt it higher or lower depending on how your child is sleeping. Another thing I love about the NapUp’s design is that the front strap is secured with Velcro which is much safer than the plastic buckle that similar products have. During our vacation, we spent well over 30 hours in the car and for the first time ever, our kids handled the long drive like champs! To make it easier on the boys, we spent most of our time on the road at night while they slept. With the NapUp Car Seat Head Supports, they were both able to sleep comfortably and soundly! I own a family travel website and I also write product & venue reviews for several other magazines. I generally do not write reviews for products that I purchase, however I loved our NapUp Car Seat Head Supports so much that I am happy to do so!

Nice alternative to discomforting neck based pillows. My boys will toss those off way too often to be of used. I like that this support is already in place so that when they doze off, all Ive got to do is reach back and shift the headband down. Ive dealt with the headbands that wrap around the seat but they go flying or take more prep that just reaching back while at a stop light. My light complaint is that on one of the car seats we have, it wont stay secure in place. Not a product deficiency but hopefully this feedback will help develop this product further. Maybe add some horizontal straps to augment the vertical ones? Optional velcro patches to help hold it in place?

We love this headrest! But, its not as easy to use as the directions would suggest. Installation - its important to have the head support low enough on the carseat head rest. You might need 2 adults to do this - one to adjust, the other to lower the support on your child. In our experience, the support bar that goes above the eyes need to have the bottom hit around the nose ridge - where sunglasses would sit. And that leads to the second bit - you have to have the support bar low enough on the childs face to keep their head from slumping out of the contraption. When we put the bar like in the picture across the top of the forehead - my daughters head would always slump out, especially when hitting bumps in the road. We do have the strap adjusted to only have a bit of space between it and their head, but it still happens. Ultimately, the bar for my daughter goes down over her eyes or a bit higher. And that works. Once you get it adjusted to work on your kid - then its great! Its just a bit fiddly getting it to that point. My 4 year old knew within a week of using it to pull it down when she got tired, so its obviously more comfortable to use it than not. Occasionally, her big sister will have to put her head back up into it, but thats not often anymore. This definitely helped on the drive to grandmas house and the trips to and from school. I do think a few tweaks to the design - some no slip stuff on the inside of the support strap so that heads dont slump as easily. Maybe some snaps instead of the velcro... Adding a couple of colors, like purple and green. But overall, its a good idea. And its helped a lot with my little and all the time we spend in the car!

Good product but wish the Velcro piece was more adjustable.

I purchased this item because we were taking a cross country trip. When my son goes to sleep in his car seat, his head is always almost in his lap. I saw this product and thought it would be perfect for this trip. Although he didnt sleep much on the trip, he does when we do trips around town and this head support really works. I tell my daughter to lower the headband whenever he falls asleep. Great product.

I have a baby who is taller than normal and this does not even work to hold their head. The space between the head and the horizontal head catcher is too big, that when the head tilts forward the strap can’t catch the head. Also the the space that the head rest occupies is so bulky, it makes it look uncomfortable for our little one. I would have returned it if I had not waited so long to try and put it to use.

I purchased the NapUp child car seat head support after reviews from other sites and with my wifes insistence; I was skeptical. It was very easy to install initially, but needs a few actual uses before getting the correct height of the side protection and angle of the forehead strap. My 4-year-old doesnt mind using it and when she feels tired she requests that it gets attached. It is NOT easy to adjust and connect while driving, so when by myself and my daughter falls asleep I either need a long red-light or I need to pull over to get it fully adjusted and then depending on her movement, readjusted. Once set, it provides a little better than a neck pillow of support. We dont have it tight around the forehead strapping our daughter to the back of the car seat like Clockwork Orange, but its a slightly bit looser. It keeps her head from fully flopping forward and stays put better than the neck pillow, but for almost $50 that I paid not sure its worth that price. My review for this product would be 3-stars - considering the price, the constant readjustment and some minor aesthetics of this thing always being there and cant be easily removed when not in use (the forehead strap just kind of dangles down or up as you leave it - note: my child has not complained about this at all). My wifes review was 4-5 stars. She likes it and thinks it is more reliable than a neck pillow and keeps her head positioned better too. Mind you, she didnt pay the bill for this so the price might not enter into her decision. So - I averaged it out to 4 stars. If I become an expert with the positioning and my daughter continues to request using it I upgrade my review.
