This clamp is excellent, very versatile. Personally Im using it in my log cabin studio attached to the ceiling joist to hold a strobe flash and softbox, this allows me to remove the bulky boom I was using and position the light in such a way that it is consistent for multiple images. The clamp is very solid and although the listing shows it clamped to poles etc it is capable of clamping on 2 1/2 inch joists or indeed almost anything you cant think of. It has multiple threads allowing you to attach multiple items and this is now a key part of my kit. The ball head is also pretty durable and feels very solid, I havent used it much yet but I have no doubt I will be.Very good kit that I feel will be very durable and versatile in my studio.

This is a very functional clamp that you can use a variety of ways. I use this to help mount some lighting on by my desk and it does the job well. It is a little. heavy, but it looks to be well made, so I am hoping it will hold up over the years.

This is such a nice quality, heavyweight clamp; it fastens securely onto the bottom of your camera and feels safe and sturdy clamped onto the side of a table or a desk.
