> 24 hourI have a fairly large collection of what I call Pocket thermal label printers. Why? I think theyre cure and I like to compare technologies (Yes, there are several different thermal technologies) and different implementations between makers. This was my first by Netum. The 2 size has a lot of labeling uses and there are several makers that have viable products in this category. I saw this offering from Amazon and knew I had to have it. When it came in, I unboxed it, loaded the 30mm x 15mm labels, and then paired it to my Android phone. I tried to lookup the product in the play store but nothing showed up when I searched for Netum or the model number. I then made the mistake of looking in the manual for application installation instructions. I tried scanning the QR code in the manual which takes you to the website. The links there to the Android app dont work. While looking for the app in the Play Store by manufacturer or model number is futile but you can find it by searching for it by name (WePrint). Luckily they have a copy of the QR code on the bottom of the printer which works also. For some reason people think that the QR code is on the bottom of the box which it is not. Unlike most of the other pocket printers Im familiar with that accept up to 2 labels (or thermal paper) this printer has no LCD display. In fact, the only controls are the release to open the printer to load labels/paper and the on/off switch which doubles as the load button. The app is pretty much standard fare that allows you to design and print labels with a section of font, point sizes, font effects, barcodes and QR codes. Im leaving a lot out but just about anything you need to create labels is there. Theres also links to pull in data from other sources. All in all, It prints well and has a nice small footprint and is competitive in its price range. Is it the best? Im skeptical.

> 24 hourThis printed gave me a lot of trouble getting it to connect to the app. Once I did the experience wasnt much better. The app is not at all intuitive and once you do figure out how to print something, the print quality is pretty bad. Its just simply not worth the price.

> 24 hourThis miniature printer is adorable! It was a little frustrating at first because I couldn’t get my iPhone to pair up via Bluetooth. I used the QR code etc and checked other reviews to see what I was doing wrong. I got so frustrated I put it back in the box and waited a few more weeks before trying again. The trick for me seemed to be this: Open the free WePrint app and type in a label. Then hit print and select the printer, THEN it will pair to your phone. I could not get my phone to pair with it any other way. Now that I’ve figured it out, I am happily printing out plant labels but I had to deduct a star for the difficult setup.

> 24 hourFirst, don’t throw the NETUM’s box away until you download the QR Code for the WePrintPro App located on the back of the box because that instruction was easy for me to miss in the not-so-font friendly user’s manual. Second, it took me a few attempts to get the app to connect to Bluetooth. I had to repeatedly close out the app, shut down the device, and then attempt to connect to Bluetooth, before the ‘pairing unsuccessful – P1 is not supported’ prompt disappeared. I finally figured out that all I needed to do was, 1) turn on the printer; 2) open the app – ‘Success to connect printer’ appeared - and then type in label content; 3) hit ‘print’ in the app. I was successful each time I performed the label making task in the latter order of sequence, without having to reconnect to Bluetooth – Bluetooth automatically recognized printer after the initial connection. Thirdly, I had difficulty in getting the app and device to recognize that I had loaded paper in the printer. After fumbling around for some time with the positioning of the paper, the app finally recognized the enclosed labels, but only after I abutted the roll of labels against the interior right side of the device – did not work on left side or center of the device (used included labels: 30X15mm labels, 400pcs/roll). Lastly, I found it easier to install the black plates inside the printer first, and then place the roll of paper between the plates. The tutorial video on this Amazon’s product page was helpful and after all the trial and error, I was pleased with the print quality, app’s templates, and appreciated that this device was rechargeable – no batteries needed, and USB cord was included. NOTE: App was compatible with my iPhone 12Pro and iPad 6th generation, but not my MacBook Pro.

> 24 hourFirst off this thing is tiny. Can be plugged in via USB C (to use and charge), but also runs via the internal battery when you dont have a power source. Connects easy enough via Bluetooth and they recommend the WePrint software for your mobile device (have not tried it with other software). It came wit a small roll of 30 mm x 15mm labels. 1. Connecting to the device was pretty simple following the instructions. 2. The software works, but a bit of a pain to design from the phone if you were printing alot. 3. The installation of the labels was not clear. There are clips inside that hold the roll in place. Had to play around with it to realize the labels need to be aligned to the right (pictures of the product on the website seem to show something different). 4. I specifically wanted this fore my 2 dissolvable food labels. Turns out the labels barely fit, but did when you took out the label guides. I thought it was a fail at first, but it did work. Overall, this ended up working great for me.

> 24 hourIt’s a neat product wish it elaborated better on where to put the text to make sure that it is aligned correctly before printing

> 24 hourVery lightweight and portable. The printing took some trial and error to get the sizing right and theres a ton of settings to figure out without much guidance in the app. The app would not download from the link in the instructions however the QR code on the printer got me to the app quickly. The internal battery has a good lifespan if needed to be wireless it can be for a reasonable amount of time.

> 24 hourThis is a good mini-printer. Its a thermal printer, and so its great that it doesnt need any ink supplies. It comes with a roll of rectangular 30mm x 15mm stickers. Scan the QR code on the box to install app on phone. And as someone else said, save the box with the QR code for the future in case you ever need to reinstall it. I tested the IOS version of the app, and it if you play around with it you eventually figure out how it works. You can pick any of the default labels, and then press the anew icon, and it will allow you to specify the 30x15mm label size as a new design. You can then design text, images, etc using the app, and then press the print icon. If the printer is on, the app will see the printer and you can select it to print. There was no need to go into IOS settings to pair the Bluetooth or anything. It just worked. As the installing the labels in the printer, this was a bit confusing. There are two plastic shims that you put on either side of the roll of labels. It wasnt clear if the labels should be aligned left or right in the printer. I guessed, and put the right shim all the way against the right edge of the printer. The shim clicks in if youve installed it correctly. Then the labels go label-side down against the right shim. Then click in the left shim so that its against the labels. Then how far should the labels stick out of the printer when you close the lid? Look at where the teeth of the label cutter is located. You want the gap between the labels right at the cutter when you close the lid. Essentially the labels didnt advance when I closed the lid, and so it was at a good position for the first print. The instructions that come with it are minimal, and so here are some other hints. What size labels fit? The box says 2. The instructions say 58mm. I took a ruler out and measured. The many labels that are sold on Amazon as 2-1/4 wide labels may work if you keep the right shim in, and leave out the left shim. That said, the thickness of the label roll may be a constraining factor. Im still using the labels that came with it. The maker of this thermal printer does sell labels too, and so if in doubt, I might just buy theirs.

> 24 hourPrinter is exactly as described and works with very little set up. Took only minutes to set up a Bluetooth connection to phone. Using the app made creating a label pretty intuitive, I was able to set the font size as well as manage the layout. Much easier to use than some of the older style labelers. Printer has a battery and charges via USB C making this printer completely wireless which is very convenient. Also imagine it would travel well due to its tiny size. Only issue with this otherwise fantastic little labeler is due to its small size there are limitations on the labels that can be used. While easy enough to find the dimensions that can be used side to side and top to bottom you have the limitation the size of the roll that will fit in the printer itself. Printer came with one roll or 400 labels about the size of a return address label and my first test print was exactly that a return address label and it looked great. Was easy enough to do but I see a lot more applications especially with pictures and QR codes but when I looked it was really hard to find any labels that would fit the printer in the roll size you would be limited to. This is a really great printer with a lot of potential uses provided you can find the right labels to fit the machine.
