These keyboards are so good from the separate activation points to the sounds that the switches make, 10/10 keyboard

It is ergonomically, an abomination. Your hand cannot rest on the wrist pad and use the keys, the keyboard simply isnt wide enough. I gave an extra star because the mechanical click of the keys is good.

this is a highly rated keyboard amongst gamers but damn is it loud when using the keys

As someone who has owned over 15 mechanical gaming keyboards, this keyboard is okay at best. For the price of $180-200 for the wired version you are getting an average keyboard with a useless OLED display with average sounding/feeling keys. The OmniPoint switches are useless, anything under a 1mm is impossible to play on, youll find yourself having the wrong key input from even grazing your finger over a key.

So incredibly buggy. Presumably software, but who knows. I will never buy another SteelSeries device again. Period.

Let me start off by saying that Im a professional gamer. Im so professional, I put the pro in procrastination. And let me tell you, the SteelSeries Pro TKL 2023 keyboard is the perfect keyboard for anyone who wants to take their procrastination to the next level. First of all, lets talk about the design. Its sleek, its sexy, its...oh who am I kidding, its a keyboard. But its a damn good keyboard. The keys are so responsive, youll feel like youre typing on clouds. And the tenkeyless design means youll have more space on your desk for important things, like a picture of your cat or a half-eaten bag of chips. But what really sets this keyboard apart is the RGB lighting. I mean, who needs a social life when you can have a keyboard that lights up in 16.8 million different colors? You can even customize the lighting for each key, so you can make your WASD keys look like a rainbow, or your F1-F12 keys look like a disco ball. Its like a party on your desk, and youre the only one invited. And if youre worried about accidentally spilling your Mountain Dew on this bad boy, dont be. The SteelSeries Pro TKL 2023 is spill-resistant, so you can spill as much Mountain Dew as you want (just dont tell your dentist). In conclusion, if youre looking for a keyboard thats both practical and flashy, look no further than the SteelSeries Pro TKL 2023. Its perfect for procrastinators, gamers, and anyone who wants to add a little pizzazz to their workspace. And who knows, maybe itll even make you a better gamer. Or at least a better procrastinator.

Keyboard is super nice and customizable. Built a new gaming rig and wanted a keyboard that is as good as the other hardware. Only other keyboard I considered was the Wooting which is always on back order.

I purchased the old Apex Pro TKL a few weeks before this new version was released, so I was able to return it to upgrade to the 2023 model. Here are my thoughts on the 2023 edition after having the experience of using both boards. Pros: - Detachable USB-C cable. The old models enormous, non-removable cable was one of the worst qualities about it. - PBT keycaps. These definitely feel more premium than the ABS keycaps of the previous model. Cons: - Unlike the previous model, there is no onboard memory for RGB profiles. This means that if you want to customize RGB lighting, Steelseries software must be running on your PC at all times. This is a huge negative in my opinion and unacceptable for a keyboard that is this expensive. - Overall build quality feels worse than the previous model. Lots of key wobble, scroll wheel and button feel like cheap components compared to the previous model. In terms of gaming performance, I havent noticed a difference between the two boards at all. Supposedly the Omnipoint 2.0 switches are faster and have a lower possible actuation point, but they feel the same to me. I think the 2023 edition is a better feature set overall for the detachable cable / keycaps alone, but the poor feeling build quality and inability to customize RGB without always on software is really unfortunate considering the price of this keyboard.

I wish I could be making a positive review about how awesome this keyboard is and how it improved my reaction times but instead I have to write a review about how the keyboard doesn’t work out of the box. I open it, plug it in and none of my keys work, i tried downloading a driver update and still nothing works, I reset my pc, still no keys working, I turn off my pc and give it a moment while I swap my keycaps, boot up pc and no keys work, I swap the wires, still nothing, I swap the port to USB 3.0, nothing. But at least I can play Snake on the OLED screen :)!!! Absolute disappointment.

Its a great keyboard, truly responsive, fast, and one of the better products I have chosen to up my game with fortnite and comp. But the switches and the casing is very cheaply put together for the price. When I was paying such a high price I was expecting much more quality for the performance it has.
