> 3 dayIm leaving this review 3/19/23 for purchase from 11/29/22 I will update if anything changes: I was looking for SSD and went beyond just Sabrent or the WD850 in my search. Saw this company was owned by Sony at some point in the past and thought Id give it a try. I bought this 1TB version around Black Friday for $89 with the Sabrent Heatsink to go with it so total of $109 and $10 Venmo promo. Speeds are great. I play God of War Ragnarök, Modern Warfare II(2022), and NBA2K23 with zero issues. Boot times faster than internal although the internal is fast enough anyway. Speaking of which all 3 games took about 2-3 mins to move over from Internal storage. Installation was very easy. You could probably buy with heatsink included or cheap $8 one but I got the Sabrent due to the price and how good reviews were.

> 3 dayRead speed was a little lower than most others I saw in the reviews. Most people get 6538 mb/s. Mine was 6388 mb/s. Works good. Transferred all my games off the internal storage to this in about 6-7 minutes. I had 551gb I transferred. Reviews swayed me to this one over WD as it ran much cooler. Just wish the 4tb model was cheaper as I would much rather have that model.

> 3 dayInstalled a bunch of PS5 games on this and they load fast. WAY more reasonable than the ridiculous 1TB card I got for my Xbox Series S. Yeah its different systems, but this was a great deal when I bought it for $150, and I had to spend $50 to upgrade my Series S with HALF the storage. I prefer XBox, but still love my PS5, this is a great way to add 2TB of very fast storage, and it was easy to install on the PS5, Sony made it relatively easy, though, not as Easy as upgrading the Series S/X systems, but Id rather save $50 and have TWICE the storage. Im grateful Sony allows any Spec M.2 NvME to be used. This is a good one to get, it may not be a big brand, but its been working well for me so far.

> 3 dayI chose this drive based on some positive review videos I watched. It wasn’t the cheapest option or the most expensive, but in the reviews the performance was great. This drive is also made by a subsidiary Sony company so it’s the closest thing to an official PS5 NVME drive on the market. The installed heatsink and overall drive looks well made and I’m sure heat won’t be an issue. I installed the drive in about 5 minutes, and the system immediately recognized it and formatted the drive. My speed came out to about 5700 Mbps. I was expecting 6500+, so I I initialized it again and had the same results. I decided to go ahead and copy some games over, and the process went very fast, comparing it to my series X with a 2TB expansion this ps5/nextorage combo is a bit faster. I’ve loaded and played a few games and this drive is just as fast as the built in storage, I assume the ps5 speed measuring process isn’t always accurate, and it’s aggravating the only way to run another speed test is to format the drive again. I did not have a suitable PC to try the drive on for a more accurate speed test. I thought maybe there was a firmware update for the drive that would help, searched the nextorage website and did not find any firmware updates so that’s not the case. I debated exchanging the drive but decided since actual performance is great I’m not going to bother, results would likely be the same. When I ordered this drive I also got an external USB enclosure in case of a firmware update before I installed it, but with no firmwares available that wasn’t necessary. I’m overall pleased with this drive and would purchase it again.

> 3 dayThis NVME is being used by my PS5 and works great. Can’t go wrong with the cost for this item. I would recommend to everyone!

Greater than one weekPackaging was minimal but its essentially a plug and play device how easy PS5 SSD installation is. Plenty of storage for the price and speed competes, and in some cases exceeds, some of the more well known name brands.
