This is a great label maker. The app is intuitive, responsive and very robust. Label options are far more customizable than the industry standards. It uses bluetooth to connect to the app and in my usage, that has been flawless. No issues dropping the connection or delays in communication. There are a number of options for customizing the layout and additional ones are available for a monthly fee. For me, thats probably not something Ill use but its nice to know thats an option if it makes sense for you.

The first printer would not connect. The seller was very good in response and sent me another one free of charge. The second one connected right away and works great. Good device and good customer service.

So far so good. I just bought it to do lil label projects around the house, nothing major. Easy to use so far. Just wish the labels were a little bigger but all in all I’m liking it

After emailing with Niimbots customer service which was fantastic!! we determined I got a faulty device. My new device works perfectly. Be patient with customer service, they are going to ask for a video showing the issue. I have no issues with this since I am a technician, and you would be surprised as to how some people interpret instructions. I am now giving a 5-star review. This is a great little printer especially for the price but it has one major flaw. I purchased the D101 for the specific purpose of being able to use the smaller labels from the smaller printers. Niimbot accomplished this by including a nice plastic divider that holds the smaller width labels to one side of the printer; here is where the issue is. The auto detect label sensor is on the opposite side that they pin the smaller labels so the device will not auto detect the smaller labels. There are two workarounds for this that I found. You can 1) put the labels in with the divider and manually search for the template youre you have inserted. Or 2) which I found to be easier, is remove the divider then press the new labels to the left side of the printer and close the lid. The printer will then detect the labels and populate your label history under templates. Then when you put the divider back in and it doesnt detect the label you can select from the label history the proper label. This seems almost too dumb of a design to be on purpose. If niimbot reads this and I have a defective device please contact me or reply to this. In the meantime I may be contacting niimbot or returning this device.

Print quality, battery life, size, and ease of use are all fine. I have no complaints on the hardware. I would give a 5 on that. What I dont like is the way the software keeps pinging back to NIIMBOT. I keep my cell phone somewhat secure and the NIIMBOT software when you try to print, constantly keeps pinging back to NIIMBOT. Most people would not notice this and are not aware of this. When I am in my office our network is even more secure and this triggers a block which keeps the printer from printing. I have to shut off my network and make some changes to print. I have stopped using it. At best, this is data collecting on me and a privacy issue and at worse, this could be a long term investment for a hack if NIIMBOT was pressured by their government or their system got hacked. To save labels you further are opening yourself as you have to connect to their servers. There are ways to store a the lbel info to address counterfet so that is not an excuse.

It tells you that you can print barcodes but they do not print so that a scanner will scan them. I have tried both a professional scan gun and the android app, neither of which work. In my opinion this is a waste of money.

I use this for a lot of things. First it was for packing and organization stuff but its so easy to use over been having fun with it. I print off little pictures of cats and stick them in random areas for my husband to find. Theres zero damaged when you peel the stickers that come with it off so Ive been able to get really creative. Areas Ive stuck them: ply wood, image a drawer, painted wall, windows, play station controller, wii controller, snes and controller, cloth posters, book shelf, inside coffee can, inside shoes,toilet lid (haha scary monster face) and many other areas. First it started that he would let out a groan when he found the stickers, then the stage of slight chuckle, then the stage of if you look at his face you see the will to live depart from his soul, and current stage is quiet sobs. I love this thing so much. Also you can do a lot with it. I also use it to make barcodes for work products and labels for box contents. As well as address labels for letters but i do put a piece of coat tape over it just in case.

This is a pretty good little label printer. Everything is controlled thru the app by connecting to my phone to the printer via Bluetooth. I didnt have any troubles connecting. Ive only been using it for text labels and its pretty easy to quickly create text labels with it. Probably not as quick as the ones that have a built in keyboard, but with this I can add emojis and Chinese characters. It does have one quirk where you have to use a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge. It doesnt charge with a USB-C to USB-C cable. The app also seems to have some sort of subscription service for extra features but I dont think thats worth it for me.

Very user friendly. App is easy to use. Can do English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. It would be nicer if the label arent fixed size.
