This is not Genuine Nintendo product, as stated in the description. It is a illegal knock-off. Has a fake Nintendo logo on the underside. These cheaply made knock-offs trend to break quickly. That is why I wanted one made by Nintendo. Will be returning this item.

OEM is the way to go. I bought three of these after I picked up two generic chargers that would spontaneously stop charging without coming loose from the wall or the console. The OEM chargers are (presumably) over ten years old and work perfectly

This was NOT NEW! Plug was bent, it was dirty and there was obvious wear on the item. Returned!
