Nintendo NFC Reader/Writer Accessory - Nintendo 3DS

Works perfect for what its for`what it does.

Lately been upset that Nintendo been taking too long to these out in the US. I saw the Japan import was out and didnt feel like waiting after Nintendo said that will be ready in summer that never came out until three months later after summer is about over. So I try it out and works my US 3DS system.

Item worked well with the Nintendo 3DS. My daughter has a whole new game now with new characters and new features.

Works great with my amibo and with my 3ds and 2ds.

The reader worked well. It read amiibos and allowed for amiibo gameplay on both mine and my friends 3ds. I would recommend for anyone who wants the amiibo gameplay but isnt ready to change to the new 3ds

Great item very easy to use straight out of the box just pop in the batteries which were included.

All three of my kids have a Nintendo 3DS XL, primarily due to trickle-down or saving up their allowance money for several months. But my youngests doesnt have the NFC reader and, of course, the sibling jealousy has kicked in on more than one occasion. I didnt even know that these separate NFC readers existed until I got an e-mail from one of those one-sale-a day sites. For the price, I jumped on this opportunity. Even though the instructions are completely in Japanese, its simple enough to figure out: point the RF transmitter to the back of the 3DS, turn it on, put on the Amiibo, and thats it! My youngest was THRILLED when it worked without a hitch. She wouldnt shut up about it all day, and - luckily for her - she also threw thank you, dad out there a few times. If you dont have the New Nintendo 3DS XL but you want Amiibo functionality, this is a much better alternative than shelling out for an entirely new 3DS XL.

After buying this item amiibo quickly moved from the second dimension and started their conquest of the third dimension. All hope is lost. But seriously, this item works really well. Its a good alternative to buying the NN3DSXL.
