I actually enjoyed this much more than Super Mario Odyssey, despite reviews generally favoring it over Origami King. I’ve never played any of the paper Mario series games, and this was my first, and I loved it! Also, not sure why this particular listing says that the game is in Spanish; I played it entirely in English, and the game case was also all in English. The only thing I did not like about this game is that the battles started getting really repetitive. Every now and then I enjoy the challenge of the logic puzzle involved in figuring the battles out, but sometimes it reminded me of how Pokémon would pop up too frequently in unavoidable grassy patches before you could use Repels. I digress. The graphics are SO adorable, and the story line is really cute too. There was a part where I even almost teared up because of how emotionally invested I got in these silly characters. It actually seemed pretty deep for a “kids” game sometimes. I ended up beating the game in about two weeks while working full time lol. I’m now tempted to go back and play the other games in the paper Mario series.

So, just a heads up that if you dont feel ready for having a conversation with your kid about Death, they may not be ready for this game. (More on that later, as its spoilery) This game is a lot better than Super Paper Mario, but the combat style is very different from the first two Paper Mario games. In place of Badges, upgraded Weapons, and Items, you just have Items and disposable Weapons. (Feel free to use them like crazy, I was hoarding them for way too long.) I wish there was a way to see opponent health points (Tattle) so I could know which attacks to use, as I felt like I was mostly guessing. For completionists, the map gives you handy little percentages for the items you need to find or fix, so that was EXTREMELY helpful. The game also has two different methods of fast travel, Warp Pipes in the museum, or Fax Travel in the remote labs. Partners are a little different than in the first two games as well. They dont really stay with you, they usually hang around for a chapter or so and then stay in the area when you leave. They also dont attack all the time, and you dont control if they do or not. So dont count on their help. Olivia, your main companion, is adorable. She is a lovely character. She is super curious, and very emotive. - Now for the spoiler territory. About half way through the game, you permanently lose a character, and you have to console another character over that loss. In this Paper Mario game, death is permanent for everyone but Mario. At the end of the game, the main villain is revealed to be trying to commit a genocide, Thanos-style, with a magical wish. Instead, your main companion uses the wish and ends up wishing herself out of existence in the process. If you 100% the game, an inanimate version of her is seen in the ending cutscene. It is not a satisfying ending. :( Overall, good game. A nice Paper Mario experience, but I just was not ready for those emotional punches.

Product was in some home done heat shrink plastic and wasn’t even sealed down one whole side. Obviously not new factory sealed but also not labeled used or refurbished.
