Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

> 24 hourGet the Pro Controller, you wont regret it. Perfect for Splatoon 2, Fortnite and even Zelda. I was unsure when I first got my Switch (at launch) if I should fork out so much extra for the Pro Controller. Im not a hardcore gamer and thought the Joy-Cons and grip would be enough.... How wrong I was! Ive been using the Pro Controller for over a month and I regret I didnt buy it sooner. It feels solid and sturdy. The triggers and buttons have much more feeling than the Joy-Cons. The button layout is very comfortable. But most importantly, the analogue sticks feel (and probably are) more responsive and accurate. It is worth spending another $60 for this controller, it will improve your gaming experience with your Nintendo Switch. Bonus: The Pro Controller works with Windows 10 PCs (requires Bluetooth)!

> 24 hourI was very surprised that the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller was usable wireless on PC, but once I figured that out it became my primary controller for everything. As an avid PC and console gamer Ive used dozens of controllers over the years but have never had one that felt so natural one first picked up. The gyroscopes are an interesting feature and the button placement leads to easy combos. The battery life is fantastic and the sticks move smoothly.

> 24 hourThis controller is a must if you have a switch. I like to play on the TV screen and dont really like the set up that comes with the switch. This is wireless and has a nice sturdy feel to it. I always use this and forget that it was a separate purchase because it feels like it should have come with the switch.

> 24 hourThis thing feels really well built. The controller has a good quality feel to it, plus it feels just the right weight to make it feel secure in my hands. At first it felt a little big since I had been using the joycons mostly, but i quickly got used to it. The price can be a bit hard to justify, but i paid it since I knew that it wasnt a gamble. There are cheaper options out there that might feel this good, but i knew FOR SURE, that this one would be good. And it didnt dissapoint. Pros: - Good placement for the analogs - Nice big face buttons - Nice clicky shoulder buttons (not loud) - HD Rumble - Great motion controls - Great for 3D games - Comes with a high quality USB-C to A cable Cons: - Price is a bit high - The analogs have a longer travel so it can feel a bit off putting if you are coming in straight from a Joycon like i was. - Not great for 2D platformers - The home button and screenshot buttons are a bit awkward to reach while playing. Overall this controller is great for games like Zelda BotW, Mario Odyssey, Doom, Ys, Mario Kart, etc, but i dont recommend it for 2D platformers like New Super Mario Bros U, The Messenger, Axiom Verge or Dead Cells. It will function alright, and i bet after playing for a bit your hands get used it, but for me it wasnt ideal and since I have a SN30 Pro, I use that one specifically for 2D platformers and this for everything else. The battery life is certainly impressive. I used it for over a week before I had to charge it, but then I dont do heavy gaming on the most part. My only real complaint is that the home button and the screenshot buttons can be a little difficult to find while playing. Also, take into account that this thing is not really portable. Not only is it big, but it keeps coming on and scanning for the switch each and every time a button is pressed. This is definitely a controller to keep beside the dock for docked playing, and NOT in your bag for hand held or table top. One of the times i packed this and brought it along for table top playing I found it had turned the switch on while it was in the bag. Its also kinda big, so definitely keep it at home. If you want portability go for the SN30 Pro, if you want comfort, go with this. Overally I think its a great controller, my biggest gripe is the price.

> 24 hourThis is quite possibly the best controller on the planet. Even better than the good ol xbox360 controller. Its rechargeable (Type C USB), long battery life, HD Vibration which feels really good and adds a lot to games. Very good D-Pad and its built really good. Pay the extra money and get what will last you a LONG time. Oh, and there is NO drift. If Nintendo only made their joycons this good.

> 24 hourIve had this product over 6 months now and its been working great! I originally bought this because my left joy con started displaying joycon drift, making games difficult to enjoy or play. However, it is a lot more convenient than the joy cons, even at this price. The internal battery makes it so I hardly ever have to charge it and the controls are so much smoother than the original joy cons.

> 24 hourI havent owned it a year yet and its already breaking down. Joy-con is sticking, it wont keep a charge regardless of use, the internal gyro controller only occasionally works and when it does decide to work it fouls game-play with its randomness. The controller is kept in a case and is not abused in use. It beats the built in controller but seriously questionable quality issues. If I can locate the packaging, Ill look into the manufacturer warranty. Update: manufacturer will repair for $20 plus $10 return shipping. So $349 for a console with controls so bad, that it requires an additional $70 for a decent controller experience... Thanks Nintendo... updating to one star

> 24 hourI have had the Switch for a year now, and the whole time I have been using the Joy-Con controllers in the grip, as I was surprised with how comfortable they were, even with my fairly large hands. I got the pro controller after my girlfriend moved in with me so we could play together more comfortably rather than using one Joy-Con each. I always thought the pro controller looked meh, as if the build quality would be distinctly average, but I was definitely wrong about that. It is exceedingly comfortable, and I mean the most comfortable controller I have ever used. It is as if Nintendo just decided to make the most ergonomic and functional controller they could, and they did just that. It does not look super flashy, but it is a damn fine controller. The buttons are big and comfortable, the controller sits nicely in the hand, the triggers are designed really well so they feel great and are natural to rest your fingers on. I know the controller is pricey, but if you play the Switch a fair bit at home docked, then its worth it. Great investment

> 24 hourIve tried the knock off versions, and they are terrible in function compared to the Pro Controller. I have two and they are great. Pay up and get the right one, or just save your money.
