I was worried it would be too small for a Syrian because they only show it with a dwarf, but he fits fine in there. It is not his main house but he hides in there while I clean out his nest. Niteangel totally deserves their fabulous reputation for quality.

I purchased this as a replacement for the plastic hide I originally purchased from the local pet store. I like that its a 2 in 1- chew toy for the hamster and a hide. Fast shipping, was packaged nicely and overall Im impressed with the price and how solid it is. I have a syrian and it doesnt seem to potentially topple over when she climbs on top of it- and has a wide enough opening for the hamster as well. My biggest complaint is that the smaller mushroom in the print isnt even fully purple. But its not enough of a bother where I would try to send it back for a replacement. Also- please note that since this is a wood hut if it gets wet it will have wet spots left on it. Would recommend replacing with a new one every 3-4 months for this reason.

I LOVE this little mushroom house! perfect for a dwarf hamster! It’s definitely a bit too small for a syrian hamster so I’d recommend spending the extra money on the bigger sized ones in that case! also, if you would like to preserve it for longer/be able to reuse it you could coat it in a non toxic mod podge!

My Syrian loves it, I really like the wave design so it’s not hard for him to climb up or down. Smooth wood so he doesn’t hurt his paws! And it looks great too.

The only reason I gave four stars is due to the fact my hammy is a little big for this house. She fits but I feel like she doesn’t have much room once inside to move around. If you have a large Syrian, maybe try something bigger. Otherwise a great product!

This elephant is adorable. Our dwarf hamster loves it. She has created a sleeping chamber under it and loves to run up and down the trunk. We have a 20 gallon long tank and this fits well. It does take up a good amount lengthwise but since she can climb on it you don’t really loose the space. She still has room to run back and forth. She really enjoys the added privacy the elephant gives the tank. We have her sand bath behind it so she has an area of the cage that she can hide out in. I really like Niteangel products. The quality of the elephant is amazing. We were choosing between this and the boxes they make with chambers and the removable lids. We are glad we went with this because it adds a climbing surface and we were a little worried about the removable lid squishing our hamster somehow. We’d also like to try the Niteangel hideout that is a two chamber underground room if they get the smaller dwarf size back in stock. For now though, the elephant is perfect. Will buy more from Niteangel.

I read the size but still is bigger then I thought. My female hamster is enormous and fits just fine

came on time and undamaged. my hammy loves it so far, i got the elephant and it serves as a great toy she loves going under and over it plus it’s super adorable ! the one thing i would say is a concern is about how i would clean it if she were to soil it but i don’t think i have to worry about that since she uses her sand bath for that <3
