Niteangel Visible Hamster Digging Box for Syrian Dwarf Roborovski Campbell Hamsters Gerbils Mice Lemmings Degus or Other Small-Sized Pets

When I got this product I thought it would be cute to give my hamster a little more something to burrow in. Took a couple of months for her to decide to make it her nesting place and to keep all her ‘findings’ in it. I have the Niteangel Vista cage and I put this box on the clear side so my kids can watch her burrow or sleep in it. I used 1 small bag of cork filling and layered cotton bedding on top. My hamster did the rest by filling it with whatever works for her.

It came as expected and feels and looks amazing. I bought this for my gerbil to burrow and now I dont have to worry about pee stained wood. Instructions are very clear and for those who think its too much to put together you are wrong. All you really need to attach is two screws.

Easy assembly, plenty big. We put a mix of cork and cocofiber inside and our Syrian digs it (literally). LOL

This is 100% on me because no matter what I dont pay attention to dimensions when they really matter. I should have with this because its too big for our current cage. This thing is massive. I really like it and hope we can figure out how to make it work so we will keep it. But learn from my mistake and make sure you measure! We did put it in the cage and our hamster immediately went to a rough corner and started gnawing at it so Id imagine over time he would use this as a chew toy.

I absolutely love this! I saw a lot of people in the reviews commenting about the glass not being clear please note there is a film on both sides it just has to get peeled off! :) I love being able to see my hamster dig and she has had no problems getting in and out of it.

this is in too many pieces for me to assemble. arthritis prohibits me....great idea just not for me

I have three hamsters, so buying a fancy dig box for each enclosure is too expensive. However, they have all enjoyed searching for food I sprinkle inside the box during their free roam time. I have curly shredded paper on top of a mixture of coconut fiber and fine textured aspen shavings from Niteangel. So, the food filters through the loose paper and they have to borrow to find it. The acrylic window lets me see them busy searching. Good enrichment for deeper digging they dont get from the shallow containers of coconut fiber and sand they have in their enclosures. They burrow in the bedding, but once the burrow is done, they seldom burrow again until deep cleaning occurs.

I would absolutely recommend this product 1 million times. It is high quality material, easy setup and it even came with two different ways to put it together, glue and take method AND screws and IT CAME WITH A SCREWDRIVER. That part alone was worth 5 stars. The only thing I can say is that the film on the front acrylic piece was a little tricky to get off but totally worth every cent. ABSOLUTELY WILL BE BUYING ALL NITEANGEL THINGS AGAIN!!!

For some reason the screws dont hold it exactly flush and it was a little wobbly. It came with the optionbto use screws or glue, so i used both to fix it.
