Dont buy this just because you need a quiet system.

I purchased 2 of these for a fan overhaul after getting a 3090ti. The airflow from the 2 fans was great, better then any fans Ive had in the past. Unfortunately they were pretty loud even after playing with the fan settings and trying to quiet them down. They are truly heavy duty and work great if airflow is your main goal. I wanted a good balance of air flow to noise so I ended up returning them and going with another option.

The only industrial thing about these is the sound, theyre loud at higher RPMS. The seem to be great and have a very high static pressure but just too loud. Im basing my opinion on a comparison i did with three other fans i had and this is by far the loudest. Very solid part but just not good for a silent.

Works great all temps dropped about 18c in my Lian Li lancool 205 case. They have a hum when computer is on but not ear busting at all.

So I finally finish my build and used these in push on h110i cooler and what an awsome difference. Thank you Noctua for building such great fans. Temps are down 8c from my other build and these fans are so quiet because they dont have to work as hard to push air. Very pleased.

Great fan made by a great company. Excellent quality as to be expected from Noctua. The only problem I had was not seeing all the wonderful accessories that come with the old brown NF A14; shoot, all of Noctuas old products for that matter. This product only came with the fan and four screws, no paperwork (I assume they just printed information on the box), no accessories (such as Y splitter and extension cables that comes with all the brown fans).

I kinda struggled in deciding whether to go 2000 or 3000, as there is a mixed review of how much the min rpm of the 3000 could do. I hope my review can help someone out there facing the same decision as me and make a wiser choice. So, I ended up with 2 * A14 2000 and 1 * F12 3000, I connected the 2 * A14 to my corsair H115i and they were quieter than the stock fans at low speed, but at high(1600) to full speed(1700-1900), there is a humming noise (not a consistent kinda noise tat the stock fan produce at high speed) it is indeed lower in dB (note that stock fan max at 2400), but the frequency produced is more irritating than stock fans noise to be really honest, this caused some disappointment for first time experience with Noctua, especially after all the hype I heard about them. Now, the F12 3000s, the stated min rpm is 750+/-20%, but using Asus M8HA MB, Fan Expert 3, after auto calibration, its minimum rpm is 1380. Nothing lower than that can keep the fan ON. Currently do not have another pwm controller on hand to test out if the min rpm of 750 could be achieved, but 1380 a little on the noisy side during idle. So people, get what you need, dont follow my footsteps thinking I could pwm the fans and throttle to any values I prefer between 750 - 3000.
