> 3 dayRead through the simple directions in accordance with your motherboard. Works great for my i7 and probably would use it on an i9.

> 3 dayThis NH-u12a Chromax keeps my 13900k idling around 36-40C and is pretty much silent. I run 6 Noctua 120mm case fans as well, 3 blowing and 3 pulling. I did turn off MSIs “Enhanced Turbo” setting in the BIOS as well as limit the P1 to 125w , and the P2 to 253. Super stable, stays cool and quiet, no issues.

> 3 dayReplaced my aging AIO and brought my idle temps from 149f to about 90. Whisper quiet, cant even hear it from outside the case. Had to offset one of the fans to clear the ram, and will have to remove the cooler if I want to install more ram (B550 Pro4)

Greater than one weekPart of me wanted to go to a custom water loop this time around, and I might in time, but this air cooler is less maintenance and with this one performs better. Doesnt have the wow factor, but at least with the black version, it isnt outright fugly like their brown fans. Ive always put up with them as they are the best fans in the business.

19-11-2024In the midst of a new i9-13900K custom loop build, I ordered the Noctua cooler to test the CPU and other PC components until the water-cooling hardware arrives. Its an amazing air cooler and super quiet. It idles ~37 degrees (stock clock) and hits mid to high 60s under bench loads. I also installed the Noctua NA-HC8 Chromax Heatsink Cover, which gives it a very clean look. Hope this helps!

> 3 dayIve been an avid nhd15 user. No more. I will now be using the u12a for future builds. I just built a 5950x system with a u12a and it keeps it from loosing its cool. Mid 80s when PBO optimized, same as the nhd15 i tried on the same system :) In my mind, its quieter and is not an eye sore in my case blocking the pretty ram that Ive got or causing me to loose skin trying to pull out my video card. As stated before, the temperatures seems like its the same as its bigger counterpart. The only negative thing that I can think of is that I did have a couple of bent fins but they were easily bent back into shape.

> 3 dayThe Noctua NH-U12A is surprisingly quiet, it is exactly as the reviews described. I did some basic testing and it alone - without any other case fans - managed to keep the temp of a Core i7 12700K steady at 35. I still have to do additional testing and will update this review when that is done. Although, the price is a bit high I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a none liquid cooling solution.
