Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown)

This does exactly what its supposed to do. Keep that CPU cool as ice. However dont expect it to be as quiet as a water cooler.

I was nervous about installing this because it was my first time installing a large heatsink. Never took the motherboard out and had no problems at all. The fans confused me at first as to how to get them back on but I figured it out. Wayyy better than water cooling

I bought this 2 years ago because I wanted something reliable and I wanted to see and access my RAM and NH-D15 is just too damn big. I had this on Ryzen 7 3700X and now using it on Ryzen 9 5950x. The temps are really low and I cant believe how quiet this is even when its cooling 5950x when its running at full speed, and its keeping it well under 80 for most of the time. This is seriously the quietest CPU cooler I have seen myself and it performs like a champ.

Amazing product, dont look anything else if you have a budget, just go for it.

An sich ein guter Kühler, trotz der guten Lüfter, Lautstärke und Kühlleistung aber einfach zu teuer für 100€. Kam mit verbogenen Lamellen an, was die Funktion kaum beinflusst, aber sowas darf bei so einem teuren premium Produkt nicht passieren und trotz zwei Anfragen kam keinerlei Reaktion von Noctua, das ist ebenfalls schwach bei dem Preis.

Der Noctua ersetzt bei mir einen in die Jahre gekommenen Scythe Mugen 2, welcher auch schon ein ganz ordentlicher Kühler ist.

Hierbei stimmt einfach alles. Ich verwende ihn in einem offenen Silverstone SG08. Er kühlt meinen i9 9900k auf Standardtaktrate toll. Bei anspruchsvollen Spieletiteln bleibt der Prozessor angenehm kühl 60-65 °C, unter großer Last (Rendern) verbraucht der Prozessor um die 160 Watt und kommt dabei nicht über 78°C. Im Idle ist er unhörbar, unter hoher CPU-Last leise hörbar. Das Design ist super, durch das goldene Lager in der Mitte wirkt er sehr edel und zusammen mit den braunen Rotorbättern erhalten die Lüfter einen Steampunk-look. Die Lüfterinstallation ist, im Gegensatz zu der beim U9S, mit deutlich weniger Kraftaufwand verbunden und daher angenehm einfach. Trotzdem ist Vorsicht geboten, denn die Lamellen können sich an den Enden bei Unachtsamkeit leicht geringfügig verbiegen und der Kühlkörper ist durch seine Materialeigenschaften anfällig für dauerhaft sichtbare Fingerabdrücke. Deswegen empfehle ich bei der Installation das Tragen von Einweggummihandschuhen.

I could have gone with the Chrome version, to make the PC more attractive. This giant brown cooler keeps my CPU nice and cool. I was about to buy a water cooler AIO, but the tests show this cooler can keep the PC as cool as water cooling. You cant even hear it while the computer is under load. Well packaged and arrived on time.

If youve wanted a Noctua CPU fan for as long as I have, just buy the damn thing. Just make sure you have a case big enough to use it and show it off. Way cooler and more unique than water cooling, in my opinion.

If you are concerned about the space your CPU cooler is going to take up, then this a good fan to consider. Not noisy, and moves a respectable amount of air for cooling your cpu. If you are going to be pushing your overclocking and trying to run at an operating point where cpu voltage is high, then you probably need to consider one of Noctuas larger CPU coolers. This will work with some overclocking if you dont over do it.
