Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown)

Just wanted to begin by saying that I started off on the wrong foot by purchasing a non-liquid cooled Alienware R12. The heating and noise issues those cases have are horrible since the power supply sits right over the cpu and stock cooler. So side note, if youre buying an Alienware because you just think theyre so cool, get an AIO for the CPU. That being said I swapped cases and put the Noctua NH-U12A on it and had about a 40 degree temp drop/improvement on the processor with very little fan noise. Much happier with my temps with a new case and this CPU cooler.

I have this mounted on a stock Ryzen 9 3950X. During Cinebench R23, the highest temperature reading observed was 66° C with an ambient temperature of 23° C. The thermal paste used was NT-H2. The case used was a SilverStone RL05 with twin Noctua NF-A14 fans up front and a single NF-A12x25 in the rear. All fans were under BIOS-optimized PWM control.

I bought this cooler to replace my stock Intel CPU cooler after watching a Linus Tech Tips video comparing coolers. The Noctua ones seemed to work better than even some basic liquid cooling systems and I was blown away by the effect in my own computer.

I love the fans that come with this cooler, it performs well and it is super quiet.

Installed this unit on a Ryzen 5700X. Keeps my CPU very cool and only runs at 30% capacity. Have had no issues at all cooling my chip even at the highest gaming levels. Very quiet, case fans (also Noctua) are louder than this cooler is.

Noctua ist nun mal der Mercedes unter den CPU Lüftern. Ich habe einige andere Fabrikate ausprobiert, bleibe aber immer wieder bei Noctua hängen.

It is the first time I bought a Noctua cooler. Never heard of it before. Aparently they are one of the best manufacturers for CPU coolers I found out. The quality is just just great. It runs so smooth, you dont even hear it while idleing. Even whit my ear right next to it, inside the case. You can hear it a bit when revving up, but its such a pleasant noise, very smooth. It the case under the desk, its almost imposible to hear it.
