Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown)

Im here to answer the age old question, will this cooler work for a Rosewill 4u server chassis? The answer is yes (in my case, pun intended). Im blown away that you can fit this much cooling in a 4U chassis. A 5950x is easily tamed by this cooler. Keep in mind theres probably a mm of space between the cooler and lid however, fits my needs perfectly.

Seriously out performs any AIO I have ever installed into my PC. I get it if you want a cleaner setup with more space. Its subjective. But if you want numbers, This is the way to go. Quiet, Cold. Noctua does it best. Be sure to measure the clearence for your case before installing. Another 5 star for the brown owl.

This cooler might be magic. Ive used a lot of coolers over the years, and very few are actually impressive. This one is. At low fan rpms with low static pressure fans, this seems to cool better than the DH15 despite being much, much smaller. It cools my 3950X (16-core) easily with Silent Wings 3 fans at 800-900rpm, absolutely incredible. It cools better than the U14S, which I find amazing. The performance is literally on par with a Liquid Freezer II 240mm AIO. I much prefer air where possible.

It is the first time I bought a Noctua cooler. Never heard of it before. Aparently they are one of the best manufacturers for CPU coolers I found out. The quality is just just great. It runs so smooth, you dont even hear it while idleing. Even whit my ear right next to it, inside the case. You can hear it a bit when revving up, but its such a pleasant noise, very smooth. It the case under the desk, its almost imposible to hear it.

The cooler I received proved difficult to install. There were moments I wondered if Id be able to install it at all. After some research, I found some others had the same experience. My D-15(S) that Id gotten some years back was a breeze to install compared to this NH-U12A, and still is.

I really think this is the best cooling system for 95% of pc builders. The cooling performance is pretty identical or better than AIOs without having to worry about pump failures or leaks, it is quieter than AIOs, and its small enough to work with most cases, motherboards, and ram. I even have it in my mini itx h200. Unless youre using a case without the CPU clearance, need something cheaper, or want extreme cooling like phase changing or maybe a custom loop; it really seems like the best choice.

Very positive attachment system. Super quiet even with both 120mm fans running. Very effective cooling compared to Intel stock cooling solution.
