> 24 hourThese are terrific little smart plugs, and work flawlessly. Theyre very easy to set up, and they integrate with Echo devices without any problem. They appear to be solidly made, look quite sleek and modern, and - most important of all - cost a fraction of the price of some other, very similar plugs. Youll need to download the Nooie app before you can set these up. Also, if you want to use them with your Echo devices, youll need to install the Nooie Alexa Skill. After installing the app, setup of the smart plugs is a breeze. Youll enter your home network name and password, but youll do this only once - future Nooie smart home additions will automatically link to the network. The plug will pair itself to the network, and then youre done! I bought these mainly to use with Alexa, and for that purpose theyre excellent. However, the Nooie app offers you some extra, very useful features. You can set a different schedule for each plug on the network, with multiple on and off times for each day. You can also set your plugs to turn on and off randomly, which might be useful if you were away from home but wanted your house to look as if you were not. By grouping plugs in the Alexa app you can simplify their use enormously. For example, Ive grouped lamps in my TV room and hallway, and made another group of accent lights in my kitchen. If you are using these plugs to control lights/lamps, you can tell Alexa to treat them as lights instead of outlets; that way, you can turn them all on or off with one command (e.g., Alexa, let there be light). Ive also set Alexa to turn off all the lights in both groups when I say Alexa, goodnight. So using the schedule feature in addition to Alexa, you can create a very flexible and intuitive system. Ive set the TV room lights to come on at dusk, and go off around 1.00am, but of course I can override that setting by simply telling Alexa to turn them on or off. And if youre using LED lights (which by now you really should be!) or even CFLs, theres no need to worry that switching on all the lights at the same time might overload the household circuit: it wont. One note of caution: if youre using a tablet to set these up with the Nooie app, bear in mind that the app clearly was designed for use on a smart phone. Consequently, if you hold the tablet in the landscape orientation some important stuff will be off-screen at the bottom - specifically, stuff you need to tap in order to proceed. So if youre new to smart home stuff, and want to get your toes wet (as it were) go ahead and buy these; I think youll be pleasantly surprised.

> 24 hourI started with just one smart plug, which was very helpful. I used an extension cord to have it turn on two lamps that are hard to reach. It amazed guests, but mainly made it very easy to turn on the lamp when I wanted to snuggle and read my son a story on the sofa without having to get up or reach over. Then Alexa bought us four of these for Christmas (no, not really, but in the same way that our cats also give us Christmas presents), and once you get almost half your living area automated like this, you just have to go all the way. So now we have 9 smart plugs and I can say Alexa, sparkle and she turns on all the fairy lights (like in 7 different places) and starts playing a station on Pandora thats actually called Sparkle. My lamps in my front window that Ive had on a timer for years and always had to adjust when there was a power outage or daylight savings, or just a change in season, so they werent coming on at 4pm in the summer or 8pm in the winter, now will automatically come on at SUNSET, whenever that is, and go off at 9pm. I could also have them come on 30 minutes, or an hour, or 17 minutes before sunset if I want. I say Alexa, Im home and she welcomes me home, turns on the scented wax warmer, and plays relaxing music. Ive even programmed her to turn on just a few fairy lights when my phone returns to the house after 6pm so were never walking into a totally dark house. These plugs make your daily life just that much easier, nicer, and more fun. Yes, Ive had the fairy lights all over the house for years, but I hardly ever turned them on because who wants to go around plugging in lights (ok, really white Christmas lights) for even a few minutes just to have to unplug them all later. With this, I actually use what Ive set up because its easy and non-intrusive. And the plugs have an on/off switch on the side, so if you dont want to actually talk you can still easily turn things on and off. Handy for the scented wax warmer on the kitchen counter. Theyre a cinch to set up, took just a bit at first but by the third or so plug I was whizzing through it. So, yes, I like them. And I havent tried the round ones but these for sure give you enough room to plug in two or have another large plug plugged next to it since theyre horizontal.

> 24 hourThese work as expected, were fairly easy to install using manual/AP mode, and I have had no issues with how they work so far. They do make a click sound when turning on and off, but I dont personally mind. The reason why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because 2 of the 6 I ordered were clearly used. They werent wrapped in the plastic wrap like the others and had black scuffs on them. The scuffs wiped off with a little bit of alcohol and they seem to work the same as the rest, so I used them anyway.

> 24 hourI have other smart plugs that are wider but still the slim style and they were setup using the Smartlife app. These Nooie plugs also work with that app but I couldn’t Add Manually by selecting the Socket (WiFi) device. The way to add them is by selecting Auto-Scan and not Add Manually. Make sure the WiFI network name and password are entered in the app. Push and hold the power button on the Nooie plug for 5 seconds and release and the LED will be flashing. The app should find the plug in a minute or two and then notify you that there is an upgrade available. Perform the upgrade and you’ll be done with the setup. My other plugs show electric usage stats which these do not, but these do have a random program cycle instead which is useful for security. Recommended for lighting and places that you don’t want a smart plug to be noticeable and don’t need 10A or 1200W of power.

> 24 hourAfter shutting down the 5 Ghz router side, these FINALLY connected at 2.4 Ghz but had to do manually (i.e., not automatic connecting). After connecting the first Nooie plug in about one hour, the others connected fine and in much less install time (about 3 minutes each). Small size is great, leaving the other plug for other use. Have to be careful when unplugging not to hold down the re-set button on the plugs side. Used the Nooie app, which is a bit clunky but OK when getting use to it. Lots of difficulty when meshing with Alexa (Dot Gen 3), but once it connects Nooie ---> Alexa it is awesome! BE SURE TO CONNECT USING NOOIE HOME, not just Nooie. We control 8 plugs in two groups, all controlling lights. I would definitely buy these again.

> 24 hourI ordered several varieties of “smart plugs” to see what the differences were and which I liked best. Most were too large and could only plug in one plug per outlet and were limited on what they could do. Nooie’s smart plug is by FAR the best. It is super easy to hook up to WiFi. It’s fully integrated with Alexa, Google, Smart Life, etc. It has a small white power light on the side instead of the front so it doesn’t disturb you. Also, the Nooie app works extremely well. You can schedule on/off multiple times for the same plug and it even has a cool built in “random program” designed to turn on and off sporadically so that would be thieves can’t pinpoint when/if your home. Their packaging was nice. Their customer support even reached out to see if I had any questions or needed any help. Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with both the company and their products. Note: Since my first purchase of these last November I have bought multiple other sets to use throughout my home and have recommended them to countless friends and family members. Many of which have already purchased and love them as well. In short, just buy Nooie and you’ll be glad you did.

> 24 hourThere are several places in my house where I just need to turn something on/off by an app or have it on a timer - I use smart plugs for these applications. I recently bought 4 Nooie smart plugs & they are working perfectly. Theyre smaller than most of the plugs Ive seen - most importantly, 2 of these plugs fit nicely on one wall receptacle. Because they dont extend beyond the edge of a switch plate, they are hardly noticeable in use. The LED on the front to indicate it is On is visible, but not too bright. Youre instructed to download the Nooie app & I did. The plugs were easily setup in their app, but the other smart plugs & bulbs in my house all work within the SmartLife app. I decided to see if these Nooie plugs were flexible enough to be recognized by the SmartLife app & to my delight they were immeidatly added to my network & their functionality was fully available. Nice. Although I no longer have small children in my house, the Child-Lock feature would be welcome if there were. This feature disables the power button on the side of plug. It can still be controlled by the app, but a small child cant turn on the device plugged in by accidentally pressing the On button. With smart devices the bar is set low at Just Work. That is often a bar that many smart devices cant hurdle. The Nooie works great & it has a stable connection to my wifi network - thats another low bar that many smart devices cant get over. It also has several good features that make working with it simple & helpful. Stays connected. Just works. Has nice features. Thats high praise in my opinion. Excellent smart plugs by Nooie.

> 24 hourI use this for my Christmas decorations and lamps. The scheduled timer on the app has been somewhat inconsistent, but the remote is great! I have not integrated them with Alexa, I guess because the phone app is just as convenient. I can turn lights on and off anywhere in my house at will! I will be purchasing another set of four! Overall I love them!

> 24 hourThis product totally exceeded my expectation. I needed a plug I could connect to my phone for my straightener to check that it was off if I thought I forgot it. This was even better that the Amazon brand Alexa plugs in my opinion. The reason being you can turn the device on with the plug and it has a timer. If you press the side button the device turns on and you can use the app to shut it off or turn it on too versus with the Alexa you are kind of stuck using the app or the Alexa and if you accidentally shut it off at the source there’s no using it until you turn it back on. Case and point I have a lamp with an Alexa plug and if I want to manually turn it off or Alexa is down I have to do it the regular way but then I can’t use Alexa or the app to turn it back on. With the little button on this plug I totally have that option which I really like.
