This backlit keyboard is great. Using the Function key and the Arrows you control the luminosity and the cycle of the animation of the LEDs. You definitely need the keyboard lit up to see the keycaps. When the LEDs are off its hard to see the letters/symbols. It has a nice feel and weight.

The NPET K10 Gaming Keyboard is a membrane-style gaming keyboard that has been designed for gamers. In terms of build quality, the keyboard appears to be well-made with a durable plastic construction and a comfortable design. However, the fact that the down arrow key broke just a week after use is a concerning issue and raises questions about the keyboards overall durability. In terms of performance, the keyboard has a range of gaming-specific features, such as anti-ghosting and media controls, that make it well-suited for gaming. The backlit keys are also a nice touch and allow for comfortable use in low light conditions. However, the broken down arrow key could be an inconvenience for some users and may affect their gaming experience. The keyboard is also relatively affordable, making it a good option for gamers on a budget. However, the fact that a key broke just a week after use suggests that there may be issues with the keyboards overall durability and quality. Overall, the NPET K10 Gaming Keyboard appears to have some attractive features for gamers, but the broken down arrow key raises concerns about the keyboards durability. As with any product, its important to weigh the pros and cons before making a purchase, and to consider the potential risks and drawbacks before buying.

My old keyboard broke down. A lot of modern keyboards are really bad at control keys. I switched to the keyboard that came with my HP computer, and was pretty dissatisfied with it. I always use the CTRL key on the left. My hand can reach ^W, ^E, and ^R, all of which are very important keys in emacs, but the HP keyboard kept not registering the CTRL key so instead of those control characters I was getting w, e, and r respectively. I bought a Logitech MK120 keyboard on Amazon. It turned out to be far worse. I figured it would be good, because the photos look as if, unlike the more modern keyboards, the keys travel a significant distance down. The keys do travel, but the behavior on difficult CTRL keys was even worse than on the HP keyboard. Even when I was very consciously pressing down really hard on the CTRL key, sometimes, instead of getting ^W, or w I got weird, illegal characters transmitted which would make emacs hang and Ive have to kill the process from another window. 40 years ago, before the IBM PC was introduced, most computers had the CTRL key where the CAPS LOCK key is now. There are these Happy Hacker keyboards you can buy like that, but theyre hundreds of dollars, and I dont want to get used to a keyboard like that because when Im using a computer other than the one at my own desk, like when Im at a co-workers computer, I wont be accustomed to the layout. This keyboard, which hardly cost anything, REALLY solves the problem. The keys travel a considerable distance when pushed down, and it NEVER misinterprets CTRL keys.

Wonderful key responses. Good overall color. Does not change color, but functions well and has no input-lag.

Its almost like its on a sleep timer . If you dont use it for a few it shuts off . I have reached out to the manufacturer about this to find out if I have a defective one or if its normal for this model. No response so Im returning it. If you dont care that it shuts off randomly , it is a nice keyboard . Its quite , has a small footprint and when it is lit up , it gets all the keys pretty good . I used mine for over a week thinking I could get used to it shutting off but no , I need mine to stay on or have a way to stop the sleep timer if that is whats happening .

I havent been using it for very long, but I do like it so far. Once you get the hang of it, its not bad. The keys are clicky but not obnoxious (which, I like clicky keys anyway), and theyre soft, if that makes any sense. Im not vernacular savvy so bear with me. The brightness is a little dimmer than I expected, but I guess I also wouldnt want blinding LEDs on my keyboard either. I do think its a little weird that there are only 3 rainbow presets and that you cant choose single colors, but thats fine. I do have a couple of tips for anyone buying it though: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Its not like its rocket science to get it going, but there are a few key combos that you need to be familiar with. Some of them are self explanatory (like the page up/down buttons have the +/- sign on it for brightness), but there are others, like the SL key, that need a little more explanation. Pressing the SL key on its own will change the rainbow preset. But if you press FN+SL then itll enter the breathing mode. And scroll lock is another key combo rather than just being its own button, FN+F11. EDIT: I think Im personally going to return it. Its fine, but the spacebar tends to skip a little, and overall its not exactly what I expected. Its still an alright keyboard, but its just not for me.

Not a bad keyboard for the price. Pros: Nice key feel, tall keys, nice colors for backlighting, price, fast delivery, feels very solid and somewhat heavy/well made, makes a good back up keyboard Cons: some areas of the backlighting are dim, hard to read top # row keys 7, 8, 9, 0, - .= and all of the F keys are dim. If you put it on the default blue color, some keys are hard to read. For the price this is not a bad keyboard. Its not mechanical but tries to mimic that mechanical feel. I like everything about it except for the small backlighting issues. I do wish it had dedicated multimedia keys for volume and mute but at this price point its not a big deal. It has volume and mute when holding down FUNC key but takes 2 hands. These are basic LEDs with only 7 colors and only one pulse option or solid color but again, price point. Would recommend for anyone on a very low budget or looking for a temp back up.

The keyboard is great, Nice looking and all the keys sound good except the spacebar. It sounds metallic, unlike the rest of the keyboard. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the LEDs and the lack of functions. all you get is a breathing affect and you can change the light color but not position. would be nice to have some different functions and affects, Lke having the colors wave over the keyboard from either side or rotate around it.

It is a nice keyboard for the price. Has a low buzzing noise that is annoying after a bit.
