> 24 hourThis NSi Industries TORK WFIP2 Smart Dual Plug was easy to set up, and has been working perfectly. Most wi-fi plugs only have one plug, but this one has two, which is great if you have more than one appliance that you want to control, but the problem is that you cant work each independently. It would be much nicer if each plug was independent. Still, simple set up, and I can work two lights at once, which is handy.

> 24 hourI received this for free in exchange for my honest review. I am in the business of installing and setting up smart homes. I personally prefer to keep things as simple as possible, so I dont typically use all in one proprietary systems. I actually use products similar to this, that are controlled via a separate app, like Lutron, Leviton, TPlink, Insteon, Sonoff and more. They all work similarly to this. The instructions are pretty clear. Plug it in, push the button wait for the light to flash rapidly and connect to the app. Just be sure your system has a 2.4GHZ wifi as this plug and all the other ones I have ever used will only work on the 2.4ghz frequency. It may have an issue if you use a wifi system that has both the 2.4 and 5ghz networks named the same. I did not have that issue as I have my 2.4 and 5ghz networks named differently specifically for this reason. Here is the interesting part. This is basically a generic smart plug, meaning it can work in different software programs. Per the instructions they have you install their app Tork. The app is similar to any other generic smart plug app. you open the app, register, or login, and pair your device. I went through the directions just to be sure that it functions the way they say it should, and the setup went without too much trouble. I did have to reset the unit before it fully paired but that was my own fault as when pairing the app gave no indication it had found the device so while it was searching I reset the device and it had found it so it ended up cancelling itself out. not the apps fault but my own for being impatient. Once linked to the app, I could set up different functions for the device scheduled program, countdown timer, random function and repeat function. I can also see a history of the on off states. the setting screen lets you rename the device, check its network, create a group and check firmware. I also found that you can link it to alexa for voice control which works well. just add the smart home skill per the instructions and away you go. Since this is a more generic device, it also works with the Smart life app, and linking it in the app was basically the same as in the App that is made for it. I did not try to pair it with any other apps, but I may attempt to do so in the future. Simple to use, and it works just fine. This plug does not turn on each side independently, both sides switch on at the same time. Pretty much perfect for where you want two devices connected and able to turn both on and off at the same time. I myself use it for some side lamps and it works well. If you want a simple to use smart plug this is nice. it is also not as tall and bulky as some of the other ones out there and it only uses the half of a socket leaving the bottom or top plug on your socks free for another plug in. I can see you could have two of these stacked and they would fit fine. It also has the added benefit of having both plugs on the sides, making this a much slimmer option when it comes to plugging in things to it behind a couch or bed. I definitely feel this is a good product and well worth the value. I would definitely use more of these.

> 24 hourThis smart plug is one of the better ones that I’ve used. It’s a very easy setup and connects to Alexa with ease. I’m using it for the lamp in the living room so when we come home, just a simple command to Alexa and you have light. This is especially helpful when you have your hands full and unable to flip a light on. I’ve had not one issue since connecting it. Overall I think it works as it’s intended to and I would recommend.

> 24 hourI’ve tried a few of these WiFi outlets and this is definitely one of the better ones. It’s a pretty straightforward concept, plug in, pair, and configure to your liking. I had no issues with pairing and I got it to configured to some mood lights in our entertainment center. I’ve even been able to configure this with voice commands However the commands are pretty limited, mainly turn on and off. I’ve been unable to get it to dim. I would have loved the ability to integrate it with apple home app but I’ve been unable to. Overall, it’s a solid plug and works well with the apps it can configure to.

> 24 hourThey work okay, but why are they linked together. They can only turn on and off together, rather than being set up individually. I can see if someone wants to turn on/off lights at the same time, maybe, but you can do that with individual ones by creating a group. I just cant see a situation where this is better than two individual switched.

> 24 hourWorks great most of the time, softwear is just a little glitchy sometimes. Great for the $$s though.

> 24 hourThis NSI Tork smart plug was easy to install and looked exactly as pictured. It can control 2 devices but right now we only have a lamp installed. Once we downloaded the app, It took 5 minutes to set up and link to Alexa. We already had the Alexa system but if you dont you will have to buy. I use it for a lamp and its as simple as Alexa, turn on living room light and it hasnt failed yet. Been about 1.5 weeks. I do notice there is a couple second delay but no big deal. I normally use it when I come into the house via voice, but its nice you can control remotely in case you need a light on when you are away from home.

> 24 hourI have purchased 2 of your WFIP2 WI-FI SMART PLUG INSIDE DUAL RECEPTACLE but they operate differently... on one device I can control each plug independently and the other device controls both plugs at the same time. See picks. I have reach out to NSi Industries but no luck, ...on the other hand Smart Life customer service is great!

> 24 hourSo, this is a great little plug, but its mostly just one plug. The app works fine, but it turns the switch on or off, which means that both things thatre plugged in turn on or off, so you cant control them separately. Its fine if there are paired things youd want on at the same time--say, lights, or a TV and a soundbar--but that could be achieved just as easily by plugging a power strip into a single plug. Further, you need to download an app to use these, which is standard, but Im getting fatigued by having so many apps. I control them with google home mostly, but even still, I think Ill just stick to one brand going forward to make it simpler.

> 24 hourIm using the latest version of the Android software. It took a few tries, but when I used the Smart Life app (which I use for other smart plugs), things worked. Two critics who gave it three stars said that they did not like the fact that you cannot control things independently. They did not see the utility of having one device controlling two sockets. What a failure of imagination. I can see that some people could find that useful. For example, you might have two lights that you want to control together. So you either want them both on or both off always at the same time. Having it all controlled by one switch saves you the hassle of having to switch one and then the other off. Alexa, turn off light 1. Alexa, turn off light 2. This is better: Alexa, turn off my dual lights. So that would be a useful feature. Thats just one example. Another possibility is that theres a part of your house where you only have one plug available and you dont mind the two devices going on and off together. Example: your PC and your printer. Or your TV and your mood lighting.
