Occidental Leather 8581 FatLip Fastener Bag

My old multi-pouch nail bag, which had been with me since the mid-80s, finally wore out. Couldnt find another one exactly like it and even toyed with having a replica one custom made, but finally made the switch to this bag. Glad I did, as its wonderful. Three nail compartments, the main one being so big you could pile 20 pounds of fasteners in it if you wanted to. Has a built-in slot for a speed square and several other small tool holders. Im keeping extra markers, nail sets and driver bits in those, and still have room for more stuff. Tape measure sits right in the top pocket, exactly where its supposed to be. The main compartment is so deep Ive found I have to bump the bag up on my thigh a little to reach the bottom of it, but thats turned out to be a minor inconvenience. On the plus side, its big enough to stage small materials or extra tools in if youre climbing ladders or scaffolding. You can take a lot of stuff with you at once. Highly recommended.

Most of my coworkers have this bags, they are truly great, cant wait to take them to work tomorrow!

This product really meets American standards, this bag is the most comfortable I have owened I would recommend it to any tradesmen. They also look great.

Best set of bags Ive ever had Ive been in the trade 25 years i really like the fact I can easily fit a drill or impact in them and head up the ladder or climb the forms with no fear of it falling out

Bwest bags Ive ever had

Occidental is absolutely the best, in my opinion. I have been working in the trades for over 30 years and have worn Occidental bags for 17 of those years. Still extremely well made in Sonoma county; excellent quality. My only gripe is that I liked the old layout of having the tape holder on the FRONT of the large pouch. This layout is great for some applications, but I very much prefer the old layout, myself. I wont ding these a star for that, but I had to add a clip-on tape holder to the front of the large pouch to get the setup I want. Occidental: PLEASE, offer the old layout as an option again. Ill even pay a premium for it!

Big pockets, solid pouch

Perfect. My old bags were the all leather Occidentals. They lasted about twenty years.
