I cannot fairly rate all of the details because I bought these for a Cross Country runner. He (and his roommates) complained that his running sneakers were so unbearably smelly (after 30+ miles a week on damp trails & fields) that he could not keep them in his room!!! He says they work great. I went to visit & noticed no stink of the shoe either. The balls can open, but you can just put the scented pearl back in and snap them back together--not a big deal!

My husband has foot odor and he’s had it since he was a kid, but these really keep his shoes from being prematurely thrown in the garbage! I feel they’re kind of costly though.

I do not like heavy smells. These are super easy to use and not overpowering. Cuts the smell of sporting equipment and shoes without a heavy perfumed odor.
