It seems like the tool may be fine, but its coated in oil. I bought this for stringed instruments so its poorly suited. I had to go through and try to remove the oil, but its a difficult and timely process, and never fully complete. If its for use with automotive maintenance, it might be fine, but not for me.

This is a medium-quality feeler gauge best suited for occasional use by home mechanics. I bought this one because the price was much lower than true professional quality gauges and because I dont need a professional set of gauges for heavy use.
